NSWP Posted May 28, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 28, 2022 I trust all the freeloaders, sorry, agents and tour operators got tested.
timtam2 Posted May 28, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 28, 2022 Yes, we had to test - either a PCR or an unsupervised RAT. Honestly, I have been a little disappointed with the health protocols on here. I expected more from them. The staff wear masks all the time and the sanitizing is very evident but as usual, it's the passengers letting the side down. There is no enforcement of mask wearing 'when social distancing is not possible' and most people still seem to not care. In Black Circus, you must wear a mask to enter as the seating is very close...then everyone takes them off when they sit down. People coughing and making no attempt to cover it. I just had to get some tongs replaced in The Pantry after seeing some grazing and finger licking. I'm sure it won't be long until the inevitable happens 😞

I'm sure it won't be long until the inevitable happens 😞 It doesn't seem as gun-ho as the Carnival mask removal ceremonies on the gangway, but at least they had supervised tests. I wonder if they will be stricter on the paying passengers - I guess I will find out on Tuesday. Two Pantry lunches are likely for us, but I always sanitise again in the buffet before I touch my food. I am hoping that whatever precautions you would usually take for noro would help to stay covid free, but there is always a few grubs.. I also feel a headline is around the corner, but it is inevitable anyway. The expedition ships had small passenger numbers and strict protocols, but still had positive passengers. Looks like part of the early strategy is that if anyone catches it on a short cruise, they won't have time to multiply it, and will be back home before they test positive. We all have to at least try to do our bit.
