On board Celebrity Silhouette, June 11-June 25.

Today, we arrived in Greenock Scotland (near Glasgow) and did a road trip to Glengoyne, Whisky Distillery. The whisky was superb!

Every now and then my LG phone actually takes a pic upside down, or re-orients it after I snap. Taking a series of pics, knowing I'm keeping the phone oriented the same, it just does that. Very odd. No sweat, sometimes stuff just happens.

Silhouette not long passed by our house about an hour or so ago, (Not my picture) but did see it from the window...lol

 

We're booked on the Celebrity Reflection 25th July... Greek Islands, Istanbul etc, and back to Rome

@Redking that does look like the Waverley😀. My in- laws saw the Silhouette yesterday in Greenock. We meet them in Dubrovnik tomorrow. Happy memories of visiting last year on the Silhouette. Definitely the best form of transport to reach Greenock. Been on the Silhouette three times😀
 

P.S You asked me if I was a Kiwi previously. No, but we lived in Havelock North and I believe I used this handle for a couple of forums when we lived there. Bit daft now!

Today, we are in Liverpool. Beautiful architectural and historical elements. The first picture is the view from our veranda, the following two, from the ship's upper deck and after, from walking in the Liverpool streets. I hope you will enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed the city.

So enjoying your review and photos.  We were supposed to do the British Isles cruise ( preceded by a river cruise) last sJulybut of course everything was cancelled.  Hopefully in the future

The last picture above has a three-wheeled car. There are about 30 three-wheeled Morgans parked in the Crown Plaza hotel car park (very close to the Liverpool Cruise Terminal) this evening. They are taking the ferry to the Isle of Man tomorrow. About 50 cars in total are expected. Once there they will drive leisurely around the TT circuit - definitely not racing, honestly officer.

Yes, and unless someone else did it. I originated the post regarding the Bravo code.

 

We were notified by the captain of a slightly overheated engine...and we subsequently notice ship preparations for rough seas...This was followed by an itinerary change. Silhouette will not call in Akureyri, and instead, will spend an extra night in Reykjavik.

Love Havelock. Good friends live there. A handle worth holding onto. Can't believe the Waverley is still sailing. My grandparents had a caravan at Gourock with great views of the Clyde. Happy memories of sailing on her and watching her.

This said, our embarkation process in Southampton was the smoothest I ever experienced. Furthermore, staff on the ship and ashore was just phenomal! 
 

We are really having a good time on Silhouette.

And yesterday we had to complete a seating plan on our excursion's coach that we (I) had not had to do on earlier trips. No doubt to aid contact tracing.
