credit card?

Recommended Posts

What are some good credit cards to get travel rewards, please? I have used RCI VIsa for years to get $ off cruise fares. It is no annual fee, so that part is good. But I think there are better deals out there.

I have no credit cards affiliated with an airline or cruise line.  My main credit card that I have used most often for all sorts of purchases, including paying for cruises and other travel expenses, is a Marriott Rewards cards.  Over the years, I have accumulated and used many, many points that have paid for many free hotel stays.  A few of those stays were at properties that I would not have booked without the points because of their price.  And, have received nice upgrades because of my Marriott loyalty.  The best was at the Marriott Harbor Beach Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, an upgrade to a two room oceanfront suite.

Chase sapphire, either one.  They have good benefits including travel insurance.   2x points for travel and if you book hotels with them you get further discounts.   If you book on their site you get 5x points.  There are other benefits but the insurance is the real game changer.  I haven’t bought insurance in years
