Carla in Texas 61 Posted June 23, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2022 We choose our check in time (for our July 9th cruise) last night. We choose 10:00-10:30am. We are Platinum and previously were able to board at anytime. I know things have now changed due to Covid. My question is: If we arrive past 1030am are we able to board at that time or will we be penalized? Thank you.
Pyrate13 Posted June 23, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2022 That is check-in time, NOT boarding time. Two different things. So, no you most likely not be boarding that early.
Rare nydney1 Posted June 23, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 23, 2022 (edited) Yes, it is not an issue to go after the time. Edited June 23, 2022 by nydney1

Our experience arriving late was last December at Miami. We are platinum also, with a check in time of 1100am. Just walked up to an employee by the door to the terminal, showed our boarding pass. We were escorted right in the terminal, and onboard in 20 minutes. Other stories I have heard people were put on another line used for early arrivals. Grannygirl21 Posted June 23, 2022 #6 Share Posted June 23, 2022 I have only cruised out of Galveston and yes, you can check in anytime after your allotted time. However, they did not let us get in front of anyone and we had to go to the back of the line. 😏

csm5986142 Posted June 23, 2022 #8 Share Posted June 23, 2022 (edited) No, it's fine, but I think it does depend on the terminal. Last Monday we arrived like 2 hours late to Long Beach (plane was late). Although people were lined up outside the terminal (based on signs with arrive appointment times) they allowed us to bypass the line and enter the terminal (as our sign "10:30 - 11:00" was long gone). But then we got stuck in a huge line for initial check-in (the little round tables). Our line would get stopped and a whole group of people (I'm assuming from the covid testing area, but I'm not sure) would get merged in front of us. When we finally got through the initial check-in/security portion, we could proceed to the Diamond/Platinum/Suites check-in area and it was quick after that. Rare sprint180 Posted June 24, 2022 #9 Share Posted June 24, 2022 I had a check in time of 10:30. We arrived at 1:00 or around there and we got to walk right on. After the wait in the zig zag like to get checked in of course.

When we were on the Miracle in March they would only allow suite guests in the Diamond Platinum area. We are Platinum and they kicked us out. Was the Platinum/Diamond Lounge open again? They were using it for covid testing prior.
