Quarantining in States

It may depend on the state you are in. But you can't return to Canada til 11 days after your positive test.

From the GOC website:

You won't be allowed to board a flight to Canada if you:

suspect or know you have COVID-19

have had COVID-19 within the last 10 days

have signs or symptoms of COVID-19

Yes, so long as the cruise returns to Vancouver or you can drive to Vancouver without crossing a border.

Someone better chime in, cause I'm confused..........

I was to the understanding Air Canada no longer needs a Covid - test, nor will the Cdn border refuse you entry if you are coming home positive.

This is if you are fully vaccinated.

An ArrivCan must be filled out prior (both coming and going)

US no longer needs Covid - test. Airlines no longer need Covid -test both leaving and returning.

If you are a citizen fully vaccinated, and returning to Canada positive, you must isolate at home for 10 days on return.

You may be requested to do a randomly selected Covid test upon arrival

All of these rules may change at the drop of a hat depending on the mood of the current govt.

A COVID test isn't a requirement for entry no matter what the mode of transportation. This isn't limited to Air Canada.

As a returning Canadian, your vaccination status has no bearing on your right to entry.

ArriveCAN is only required when entering Canada, not when exiting.

Correct, the US now has no testing requirement for entry, so airlines no longer need to verify that you have a negative test.

Correct.

Yes, although random testing has been suspended until at least mid-July.

Incorrect. The rules are adjusted as deemed necessary to provide the best protection for Canadians against COVID.
