2 Questions - Move check in time? B2B fully disembark?

Hi all,

Sorry 2 more questions 🙈.

1. We got our check in time at 3pm... The boat arrives at 6:30am and we would love to check in as early as possible so we're not hanging about. Has anyone had any luck changing check in times?

2. We're doing a back to back and staying in the same cabin. We've not done a B2B before - I'm presuming we will need to disembark but can we leave our bags either in our cabin (same cabin for both sailings) or somewhere in the terminal so we're not carrying them about?

Thank you all in advance!

Since you're staying in the same cabin, you just leave everything as is.  No need to pack up.  As for getting off the ship and back on, it will depend on your cruise and the port.  You will receive full instructions on board.

As for an earlier checkin time, again it will depend on the port and the number of passengers on board.  You can try showing up earlier and see what happens.  Most likely you will be permitted to board early, but there are no guarantees.

A few days before the end of the first leg B2B passengers will receive a succinct instruction letter regarding the turnaround day process.  Just remember that even though you will be in the same stateroom you will receive a new seapass card.  And for accounting purposes each leg is treated separately so any unused non-refundable OBC will not carry over to the second leg.

Which cruise are you talking about -  The first or the second on the B2B.    If the second you don't need a check in time.   You will either be processed with all the B2B's around 9:30 and have full reign of the ship until 1:00 or so.    Or you can use a transit pass and tour for the day and come back.

They will have a B2B meeting to explain the process.

I suggest you stay on top of it, with guest relations, as you approach the turn around day .On our first back-to-back, in '14, we got the letter and the meeting. On our B2B, in '19, we didn't get either, despite several inquiries at guest relations. On our final inquiry we were told that the meeting was the night before so we were left to fend for ourselves..

Australia is very strict and would not let us unload a suitcase each in Newcastle for our friends sister to take for us, we had to take it to Sydney and get a friend to pick up. We were flying to Adelaide the same day so needed to travel a bit lighter.

If you are boarding in Sydney or Freemantle make sure all your paperwork is in order, what you can take into Aus is also limited.
