azgrandmax3 Posted July 25, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2022 Because of our many cruises enjoyed, we now as a benefit get the free laundry cleaning. Which we appreciate greatly. What I wonder is can clothes be sent at no charge to be ironed or pressed? Seems no matter how much time I spend packing there are always a few items although clean need to be ironed. Thanks for your help. Azgrandmax3
Rare LACruiser88 Posted July 25, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2022 (edited) That's a good question. We have enjoyed the Elite laundry benefit for years, but have never sent anything out just for ironing. We will be interested in the responses. My initial impulse is that only pressing/ironing is not included in the benefit??? Edited July 25, 2022 by LACruiser88
Rare LACruiser88 Posted July 25, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2022 Btw, you should request that your title be changed to something like "Question re: Elite Laundry." That will give you more responses.
partybarbie Posted July 25, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2022 I’ve received the free ironing/pressing benefit. On the first night of the cruise, I sent my husband’s dress shirts out and they came back starched and ironed, no charge. 2
Rare cr8tiv1 Posted July 25, 2022 #5 Share Posted July 25, 2022 I've sent out items to be pressed after unpacking. Yes, things get wrinkled and creased in the wrong places. Depending on how many Elites are onboard, it may take it awhile to get back. 1. There's always the ironing board (never used this) 2. Laundry is not sent out by your steward until the next morning (around 9 AM).
Sprocket Posted July 25, 2022 #6 Share Posted July 25, 2022 If its shirts leave them on the hangers use a twist tie to keep them together and put a dry cleaner bag over them. Put them on the top of your packed clothes. Been doing this for years rarely any wrinkles, works for my dresses too. 3
reedprincess Posted July 25, 2022 #7 Share Posted July 25, 2022 Yes, just pressing is an option with the Elite laundry benefit. There's actually a space on the form to check ✔️ if you only want pressing and not full laundry wash/dry . 2

EDDY0827 Posted July 25, 2022 #9 Share Posted July 25, 2022 Free "on demand" ironing is available in the laundry rooms located on most decks. Do your own touch-ups whenever you need, no waiting for return on your things.
Adventures ahead Posted July 25, 2022 #10 Share Posted July 25, 2022 You can ask for 'no starch' for shirts. If you roll items and/or use dry cleaning bags as suggested, no pressing needed. I might need to touch up a few things in the laundry room while my husband has his first nap. 🙃
