phabric Posted August 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2022 It looks like the Sapphire cabins D736 or D737 (B4 category) have a bigger balcony 354 sq ft bigger than other B4 cabins at 277 sq ft. and go around the corner. Are they covered? Has anybody been in either of these cabins? How did you like the cabin?

Special Notes: NON-STANDARD LAYOUT TWIN BEDS ONLY/ SHOWER ONLY/NO TUB/ NO SINK VANITY We haven't been in either of those cabins but have been in E728 with a similar balcony. It is very long but doesn't go around any corners. (Also E728 has a "normal" cabin layout inside but is a mini suite) Edited August 9, 2022 by chamima
skynight Posted August 9, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2022 All mini suites on deck 9 have 9ftx6ft uncovered balconies. Believe this is also the case with the cabins you mention. Look at the information on this site https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/deckbydeck.php?ship=Sapphire-Princess&deck=

Very odd cabin configuration. I would not book this cabin, regardless of the balcony size.
Rare fpsphil Posted August 9, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 9, 2022 Only on the older grand class ships is it like this. The equivalent D733 on the Crown class ships is a normal minisuite with a much larger balcony.
phabric Posted August 9, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted August 9, 2022 Thanks for the pictures. It gives me an idea of the cabin. We are 2 ladies so have twin beds. I am wondering if it is covered for shade as I can’t sit in the hot sun. I have a choice of one on these cabins or an aft cabin facing the wake. Choices to have? Our favorite cabin and most have 9x9 totally covered balconies. I don't think any cabins on Dolphin have covered balconies . Googled again . This is the Sapphire. D736 is the large balcony second from the bottom on the end with the white side - totally uncovered. (The large covered Emerald cabins are the bottom ones.) You can also see all of the aft balconies.
