Reservations for Shows

What will be the best way to secure reservations for Shows ? Can you still do it before Boarding or in person once on board

At Guest Services after boarding is the only "in person" way (some ships might have a "box office" table set up on boarding day for this).  

But the EASIEST way is using the app after you've boarded.

Start using the app now and it will be pretty obvious once you are on board.

Wonder if Royal will ever go back to reserving shows pre-board on Oasis class ships.  Seems like there are fewer and fewer cruisers having to cancel due to a positive Covid test.  Supposed this was why Royal changed the reservation procedure.

 

Really liked being able to reserve pre-boarding. Won't hold my breath reservations will go back to original procedure. 😐

FYI that on the Navigator reservations are no longer required. It’s now first come, first served.

Thank you.  Was it hard to get a seat?  How early do you suggest showing up?

No, but I suggest showing up about fifteen minutes prior to the show.

Thank you! We really would like to see the ice-skating show. Any suggestions on the best area to sit?

I actually just discussed the app yesterday.  You can read how to look up a current sailing and play around with the app to get familiar with it in this post here.

I don’t believe Navigator ever offered or required reservations for shows.

The only show that ever needed reservations was the ice show on navigator

We like the end nearest the door, several rows up.  If you're too close to the ice, you can't see the show as well.

I just got off Anthem on Sunday and they didn’t need reservations for any shows.  They originally did at boarding but there was a problem with The Gift that had to change days and that was it.  The line for We Will Rock You an hour before the show was at least 300 -400 people long.   They needed the reservations.
