My wife and I are non-drinkers, and we wanted casino free play instead of free drinks, but couldn't swing it. What a waste, I think we had three alcohol drinks total between us the entire cruise. DallasGuy75219 Posted August 17, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 17, 2022 If you do get an offer with Princess Plus, remind the casino reservations agent that your offer includes it and confirm that they put it in the reservation. It doesn't automatically get populated in the reservation even if your offer includes it, so they have to manually add it to the booking. I read that but submitted for the July cruise a couple of weeks back and it was applied. My fear is them pulling back share holder from comped or discounted cruises so I was playing it safe. Only on two out of the five recent offers though, so maybe they’re cutting back. At least they have the kinks worked out. First time we got an offer with it included, we had to jump through hoops to convince the casino rep that we should not have to pay for Plus for the third person in the room…. Since she was only 5 years old, and unlikely to consume 15 alcoholic drinks a day, we wouldnt allow her to drink coffe or sodas, and she did not have her own device to connect to wi-fi. The second cruise with the offer they automatically applied a “specialty and soft drink” package instead of the full drink package. I believe they are just queuing everything up - so anything for sailings more than two weeks away isn’t looked at, so they can work on other things. It won’t hurt to resend the request, but they’ve added my credits to my 2 recent cruises without reminders. Could also be that they get tired of entering credits early, then having the credits and/or reservations wiped out by their funky reservation system, and then having to enter them all over again. My TA said that our booking included the Princess Plus package. We also received the casino rate, not a free cabin. A few days later my TA called me to say that Princess had changed their minds about combining the casino offer and the Princess Plus package. You could have one, but not both.
