Princess casino offer with princess plus

For those who have received casino offers that included the princess plus package can you tell me if the 

offer is for both persons in the cabin or just the promo recipient.

Yes, it covers both in the cabin, 

You each get the plus package.

Yes but we haven’t seen the Princess Plus on comp’d casino deals for several months

Both get the "Plus" package. 

 

And you cannot decline the package for a price break or substitute it for other freebies.  My wife and I are non-drinkers, and we wanted casino free play instead of free drinks, but couldn't swing it.  What a waste, I think we had three alcohol drinks total between us the entire cruise.  Even though the package was free, I think we lost money on it!!

If you do get an offer with Princess Plus, remind the casino reservations agent that your offer includes it and confirm that they put it in the reservation.  It doesn't automatically get populated in the reservation even if your offer includes it, so they have to manually add it to the booking.

 

Had to go back and forth with Princess to correct a reservation with a Princess Plus offer when the agent didn't add it to the original booking.

Yes you can. Submit anytime but the credit won't be applied until closer to departure date.

Yes.

I added SHB to my comped cruises through the cutoff the last one being July 2023 and all have already been added and show on the booking

But it also includes tips which would have been money out of pocket.

I'm surprised they applied it to cruises that far out. People have reported they were told to resubmit current documentation closer to sailing date for cruises more the 4-5 months in the future.

I read that but submitted for the July cruise a couple of weeks back and it was applied.

My fear is them pulling back share holder from comped or discounted cruises so I was playing it safe.  (HAL doesn’t allow it on comped which is where my thinking came from)

The package is great - it includes specialty coffees and bottled water. My husband loves to get a milkshake. It is not only alcohol....

Nah. I just got the shareholders credit for a cruise in September 2023. Casino cruise.

I haven't received mine for Sept. 2022. I applied for it when I booked 2 weeks ago.

Received an email saying it would be applied closer to departure date. I check daily.

Pre-Covid, the credit hit my booking usually in 2 hrs. or less.

No, something is wrong. They may have read it as 2023?

 

Resend it, but make sure you check it says 2022.  I would put in the subject 

field….OBC Stock Departure Sep 2022.

We’ve received recent offers with Princess Plus included.  Only on two out of the five recent offers though, so maybe they’re cutting back.

 

At least they have the kinks worked out.  First time we got an offer with it included, we had to jump through hoops to convince the casino rep that we should not have to pay for Plus for the third person in the room….  Since she was only 5 years old, and unlikely to consume 15 alcoholic drinks a day, we wouldnt allow her to drink coffe or sodas, and she did not have her own device to connect to wi-fi.  The second cruise with the offer they automatically applied a “specialty and soft drink” package instead of the full drink package.  And the latest one, they dropped the Plus requirement for the third passenger.

 

Progress appears to be slow but steady with Princess.

Not necessarily anything wrong.  I believe they are just queuing everything up - so anything for sailings more than two weeks away isn’t looked at, so they can work on other things.  It won’t hurt to resend the request, but they’ve added my credits to my 2 recent cruises without reminders.

 

Could also be that they get tired of entering credits early, then having the credits and/or reservations wiped out by their funky reservation system, and then having to enter them all over again.

I booked the eclipse cruise in April, 2024 on the first day it was available to elites.  My TA said that our booking included the Princess Plus package.  We also received the casino rate, not a free cabin.  A few days later my TA called me to say that Princess had changed their minds about combining the casino offer and the Princess Plus package.  You could have one, but not both.  Anyone else have this issue?

We've never had an issue with it, except we do have to pay for Plus...

Yes had same issue booking 2023 and 2024 cruises
