Thank you so much!  I am not expecting sunshine … but just stop raining is good enough lol!  It did stop raining while we were In Juneau

Off to the trail I go… I am only taking the Father Brown Cross Trail about 60 minutes round trip from the nature center you can climb all the way up here from the bottom but ummmm no Thanks… I will take the tram to the middle and go from here …

I have to tell you that the view is amazing … the air is nice and crisp almost energizing …

Continuing UP the muddy slippery trail… it is the rainforest so it’s wet, it’s slippery and muddy.  You have to be careful and watch you step … there is cell service with ATT

It feels slightly cooler … the rain is staying away which is good because rain will just make the trail more slippery and muddier

I did go a littler further up but I did not go further as the other trail to the summit takes about 5 hours …

That wasn’t so bad … was it?  Now going down should be fun!

I stopped by to see the bald eagle, she’s almost blind, got shot, can’t fly and they are trying to raise money for cataract surgery … guess who made a donation … she will not survive in the wild so sadly she will be in the cage till she dies… so sad but luckily someone will care for her …

Going back down… I am not sure if coming in early is better or what… but we certainly had the place to ourselves …

Tracy’s Crab Shack … I used to stop here all the time but the prices have skyrocketed out of this world due to the crab situation ( snow / king crab disappearing) so I passed on the crab … when I first started coming here 4 years ago I think I paid $32 for the combo.

A little Greece souvenir made it to Alaska I see…. It costs 10 x more here than at the Athens Flea Market 😂

So my tram ticket was through NCL and it came out to $0.00 … so I explored Excursion at no additional cost today.. win win .. plus I picked up a bag of souvenir for less than $30.00 ( thank you end of the season sale) and best yet the rain stopped while I was out!  What more could I ask for!
