Harley-Davidson_Family Posted September 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2022 I always carry a refillable water bottle. Do I need to empty it before getting on the ship on day one?

alex_drew Posted September 2, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2022 In Baltimore I had to empty it. Guess it depends on the port/screener.

They pull our wine out of the bag and examine it. Not sure what they are looking for. Can't recall -there was one port where we have to remove belts, was that Baltimore? Baltimore is usually very strict. Most times we've gone through with wine (10+ cruises from there) they make us take the bottles out and the check the labels and the seals. Also, my DH has had to remove his belt there. He has one belt he has to remove pretty much everywhere and I'm not sure why. It's not a large buckle, but it sets off the detectors. shipgeeks Posted September 2, 2022 #9 Share Posted September 2, 2022 Yes, we've been behind people with wine, in Baltimore, and it made us want to be in a "no wine line". Last time there, I had a water bottle in my carryon (empty), and I had to take it out so she could confirm it was empty.
