We were on a Panama Canal cruise on one of the older/smaller  NCL ships a few years back and they were filming that show "Transparent" that starred Jeffrey Tambor.  Most of the filming took place in the Haven where our stateroom was located so we often bumped into he and the rest of the cast and crew.  There were times when we were asked not to leave our rooms as we would then be in the "shot".....but really we had no problem as they were very respectful of the regular guests.  And for our slight trouble.....we received an Amazon Gift Card....I believe it was for $100 if I recall.

Not on a cruise ship ...

Once had a drink with Peter O'Toole in a Chelsea Bar, and the only other was a brief conversation with Sara Ferguson.

I'm not proud, I'll talk to anyone 🙂

Super envious of your drink with Peter O'Toole!  That must have been special

About 40 years ago I was on a cruise that they were filming a movie on no big stars but Jo Ann Worley from laugh in , the ventriloquist from soap and Rip Taylor who was see sick almost the entire cruise , fun cruise. I don’t believe movie ever was shown, it was called “don’t miss the ship “.

The TV movie "Don't Miss the Boat, " which aired in 1980 had Rip Taylor and Jay Johnson (the ventriloquist from soap) but rather than Jo Ann Worley had Vera Lockwood (lots of TV guest roles).

I would have loved to have seen that movie l I believe the ship it was filmed on was the Marconi which I sailed on in 1979, had some great Italian food. Thanks .
