Just because others are getting a perk based on a business decision doesn't mean you need to "stick it" to the casino by not gambling. Would I feel left out if I were in your shoes, yes. But let's understand Celebrity is not intentionally shorting their more frequent players.

Not intentionally, but still the result.  I know I'm not "sticking it" to a multi-million dollar company 😀. Just stating that I can spend my gambling money where I have a better chance of getting something back for it ( both with odds and with perks).

I'm another disgruntled regular Celebrity cruiser We visit the casino daily. Since restart we have been considering devoting more of our yearly  gambling budget to raising our level in BCC to get a free cruise.  But after reading about the people who aren't gamblers getting these offers, while we get nothing,  we are pissed. We'll be gambling less on Celebrity. I'll launder my  OBC through the slots, but won't spend any more money there.

I can't be the only person thinking this way.

As a note, if you actually gamble on the ship you don't have to wait for the free cruise offers.  Try calling into blue chip and see if you are eligible for anything.  You may have offers and if not, ask them to look at your play on your last cruise.  If you are going on a cruise soon, stop by the future cruise desk and ask if you are eligible for any free cruises through Blue Chip Club.  A couple of cruises ago, we got a flyer in our room and went to the Future Cruise desk and booked a 10 and 11 day back to back for March 2023 free.  Our last cruise we didn't get a flyer in our room, but the Future Cruise Desk was able to book one for us and the ones on the ship have been the best offers we have gotten so far, we were able to choose really any cruises through all of next year (other than no Edge class cruises at that point).  Before the cruise, when I had called Blue Chip Club, I could only get a free 7 day cruise up to April 2023, but on the ship I got a 10 day cruise for the end of 2023.

Did a search here to see the latest deals being offered.  I've been on 2 Celebrity cruises, had to cancel one the day of our Alaska cruise in June due to Covid.  Outside of playing poker didn't gamble at all.

Received the Mex Riviera offer which i booked for Feb 18, '23.  A couple days ago received another offer.  Haven't booked yet but planning on going on the 10 day carribean on Apex Dec 12 from Ft Lauderdale.

I'm going to book as many of these freebies as I can before celebrity realizes i don't gamble on board.

Also have a 13 day cruise out of Amsterdam booked, but that's on my own.

I did sign up with URCOMPED after receiving my first offer from celebrity but have yet to book with them.  Figure they'll require some amount of rated gaming.

New to Celebrity Cruises and will be sailing on the Apex 2/18/23  .... I've seen many posts about the Blue Chip Club. I looked on Celebrity's site and through the board and can't find clear information on how to become a member.  Is this something you have to sign up for onboard in the casino?  Like a players club card at a hotel in Vegas?

TIA!

We will be on the 18th with you.  Also got the postcards a week or so ago,  and booked a 4 night in November during a school break, on Edge.  Airfare is frustrating me right now.

What is URCOMPED?

Nice.  Hope to touch bases with you on the cruise.  I've done the same itinerary several times and just got back from a trip to PV, so let me know if i can help.

I just finishing booking a 10 day from Ft Lauderdale aboard the Edge Dec 12.  Thank you Blue Chip Club.

URCOMPED is a casino host company.  I found out about it from these boards.  Basically you have to upload any casino offers you receive and once URCOMPED qualifies you, they'll send you offers for free cruises and casino stays.  I haven't taken them up on anything yet so i don't know what their exact requirements are.

On these BCC offers they're not requiring any play amount so i'm booking those first before they realize i'm not going to be doing any gambling.

We're on the February 18th Solstice cruise along with my sister and husband (She works for a Public School system so the cruise is perfectly timed) and agree the airfares from the East Coast are ridiculous. Luckily the four of us already booked our airfare with a mixture of paid and points. But RT fares from NYC are $5,6,700 and up for Economy! that's craziness!

Airfares are insane but honestly it's really annoying me when people are getting free cruises and then complaining about paying airfare (not directing this specifically at you - that's a general statement).  Many of us - like me - are also having to pay those high airfares and never got a free cruise offer, despite sailing on Celebrity more than 60 times over 20 years and doing some (modest) gambling on each cruise.  So in December, for example, I am sailing on Solstice on a cruise that I paid full fare on, knowing that it is one of the sailings being offered free for many.  I love Celebrity and this surely won't stop me from still sailing on her, but I confess it just doesn't sit well with me.

LOL, I think Celebrity is using some random selection process to pick who gets offers.  My daughter set foot in Eclipse’s casino 3 years ago and played penny slots with us for 2 minutes, and has never set foot on a cruise since.

these days she is getting nonstop BCC comp offers but she has no interest in going

I get these offers less frequently even though I gamble much more, but I have already done a Caribbean cruise so not interested in any more even though “free”

Ring Blue Chip to see if they can offer u a cruise. If you insert your sail card in machine you will be registered.

I confess I am so jealous!  Onyx level (second lowest) and have been on many Celebrity cruises and get absolutely no offers.  I have many cruises already booked in the next year.  Wonder if that is actually working against me?  Meaning I already am a steady customer so why tempt me?  I am going on some of the cruises people are mentioning they are getting for free, only I am paying the full load.  Just doesn't seem very fair to me.  Very curious about how they actually choose who to send the free offers to?  Does anyone have any insight on that?  I know people who gamble a lot get freebees and I have no issue with that.  I'm talking about the people who rarely, if ever, gamble.

I'm Onyx as well.  I don't how because I only played Roulette my last cruise, which is one of the hardest games to earn points.  I also didn't play much.  Unfortunately, I have not received any offers either.  I called BC and the rep confirmed there is nothing for me.

Similarly, I have a few cruises booked. I agree.  This may be working against us.  All of my cruises are refundable deposit.  I started looking at other lines and found alternative sailings.  I wonder if my luck (no pun intended) will change once I start cancelling some of my reservations.

My youngest as well ... I think that Celebrity is trying to groom them to be gamblers. You're already a known/reliable entity. They need new blood !!

Yes indeed.

Quite an interesting strategy adopted by Celebrity's executive office: let's fill our ships with free casino offers to people who have no history of significant gambling.

Someone must have run the numbers and concluded that it's cheaper to hand out free rooms than to further discount rooms for sale.

What they may not account for is that once word of this gets out on social media (like this site and other sites), that may actually depress future sales as now more people are waiting for free offers for future sailings.  Who wants to pay for a room now if they'll get a freebie later?
