Out of curiosity, what's your BCC tier?

I got the offer (first time ever getting an offer like this) and it says I am pearl..  Booked 9 nights to the ABC islands on Equinox in a hump cabin for my birthday. 😁

So I got and took the offer for the Mexican Riviera and then yesterday I got the offer for the caribbean blue chip offer.   Are they really going to give me 2 free cruises? I sent in the choices last night so we will see what happens.

Interesting --

I just received an email offer yesterday, but it was for a former employee. I take my staff on a cruise each year, and she was only on Celebrity once with us - in 2016, and she might have only played $20-$50 in the casino for fun over the course of 10 days.

It came to me, as I made/paid for all the bookings, and all of them were put in under my email address. Out of nowhere, she gets an offer for a free balcony...

CRAZY !

My post is not a complaint , just curiosity !

I'd love to know the formula that revenue uses for these offers. We have  looked into using our gambling budget on Celebrity, since we cruise exclusively with  them anyway. But we haven't committed to playing enough to get a free cruise as a Blue Chip level reward. We just don't have a feel for how much and how fair they are in computing it.

But we do play a bit , and now several random offers have gone out this summer  to low level players like us and we haven't heard a peep. I called today and was told a second wave of the offer will go out next week.

We are in Florida and are retired so it's easy for us to jump on a cruise and sail in  interior up to balcony  staterooms which are the ones they are trying to fill.

We're such a cheap date 😁. If Blue Chip flattered us by offering us something, they'd gain us as good casino customers, even on our regularly booked  cruises ( we have 6 right now).

If not, that's ok too!

I've gotten both offers now and if I spend $50 in the casino for the week it was a big gambling week for us. The last cruise the only time we were in the casino was when walking through it to get somewhere. It doesn't seem like spending is a criteria.

The same happened with us . My father in law got the offer when he went on a cruise with us in 2016.I was able to put our name and Captain club # in place of his.Nothing happened then I decided to go on Celebrity and sign both of us up for the BCC and waited a couple days and resent and received booking info a few days later.

We just received a new offer but have too much travel going on during the cruises that were offered!! If we lived on the East Coast we would definitely squeeze it in !!

It says we are Pearl, but have no clue what that means.

It means you played at least once in the casino and put $1 in a slot machine (or other game). 😉

Pearl is the entry level status and requires just 1 point to be activated.

DW received the offer (but not me).  We haven't sailed with X since '17.  Amazed the free verandah offer is available on roughly 70 sailings, from 4 - 11 days.  Must be lots of empty cabins.

That was my thought - perhaps things are a little tighter than they would have us believe !

Once you submit your date preference and continue, what kind of cash are you actually paying out of your own pocket ? I take it this is for cruise only with no All Included?

Taxes, port charges and gratuities. Cruise only

More than likely just ~$200-300ish port fees/taxes. In the recent past, it's been "cruise only". They'd likely be able to let you add on the perks (for $).

I took the Mexican offer but would love a Caribbean as well. Have a 10 day Silhouette in Nov but I could squeeze another in. The dog sitter costs more than the cruise!  🐕

For the Mexican Rivera offer - the fare is $1/pp Cruise Only, then pay taxes and port fees.

I took the Mexican Riviera offer but really want a Carribean cruise.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will include me in the "second wave for next week".  Our travel is booked solid for the rest of the year, but I can switch something out if this offer comes to me.  For all the cruises that we have done, we have never done a Carribean one.

So frustrating! I haven’t seen an email from them in months 😡

Me neither.  I stopped getting them the end of June.  I've haven't used one, but I'm cruising more now and would like to take a look.  I don't spend very much in casinos, but I've been on many cruises in the last year,  I'm at the Onyx level.

I received the balcony Caribbean offer. We have a B2B cruise planned for this month, in an inside cabin. Called the BCC customer service rep to ask instead of booking a new cruise with them, could they just upgrade us to a balcony based on the offer? These cruises were both on their list of offers. Of course, no can do since these offers are a completely different division of their regular sales depts.

So, no harm, no foul as I always say. Gave it a try. Unfortunately, we are unable to use any of the remaining offers they have. Better luck next time.
