Celebrity Apex a good fit for a single 35 year old?

Would you recommend Celebrity Apex for a 35 year old single guy? I usually cruise with NCL but the prices for the Apex in December are amazing! Is it lively around the pool or at night? I don't need a party atmosphere but also don't want to be stuck on a ship with all older couples and everything shut down by 10pm.

I am kind of wondering the same about nightlife and crowd.  I am booked for early December. - I’m a married 50 yr old (yikes - how did THAT happen since I was just 35 yesterday!) but sailing solo and hoping to not have the sidewalks rolled up by 10pm!  I’m not a wild partier but love to stay up a bit late on vacation and enjoy cocktails, live music, shows, etc. with a nice crowd.

Not sure when you’re considering sailing in December, but you wouldn’t necessarily be “stuck” with older couples. There could, however, be lots of families with children. Would that be lively enough?

Our experience on both the Edge and Apex this year is  that there are many more younger passengers than we have seen in previous cruises on Celebrity.

The Martini Bar we’re going strong when we left most nights around 12.

Now if you are looking at a sailing after mid December you will encounter more children that is normal on Celebrity.

I think you’ll be fine.  Mid 50’s here..Wife and I enjoy it..music at night etc..do you prefer the Marriott or the Intercontinental?  Apex is the latter.

Nice DJ around the pool this past August…good entertainment in The Club at night..

On average Celebrity ships, even the E-Class like the Apex, won't be as lively as a NCL ship. The club is mostly not busy at all, not like Bliss Ultra Lounge. While the ship isn't a ghost town at 10, it generally will be at 11, with the only venues with people are the casino, Martini Bar, and the Club (if open) in that order.

After 10 there will be a DJ, and you will have groups of people still out and about having fun. And sometimes if there was a comedian earlier in the night there would be an Adults Only show late night.
Sometimes it might be kind of fun for you to join the morning line dance or aerobics class cause it’s all chicks and it is a lot of fun, and also there are classes in the pool and it’s just a good time.

If you had a late night prior you could order a room service breakfast which is complementary!

I'm 63 and just returned from Ireland, those youngens in the pubs won't soon forget me, the night is just beginning at 10pm.

To the original poster, some cruises are quiet at night, as the personality of a cruise can vary wildly from cruise to cruise. If you will be satisfied with a gorgeous new ship, a casino, good food and service - go for it. If a lively nightlife is a must have, I'd look at Royal Caribbean as a change from NCL.
