How do you know how many points you earn?

Can you only see them at the time you are cruising?

I have received many casino based promo emails.

only during the cruise and it starts over on each cruise.

last year my husband earned over 5,000 on the first cruise and we got offers for free balcony, plus package and free play.

now the offers are free interior, no plus, lower free play

offers are not like they were.

If you are playing slots you can see when you log in where your point total is. If you are on table games ask one of the casino managers. We ran over 5k per week each and the bounce back offer was for a free balcony and $600 free play per person

  • 5 weeks later...

offers can come with different lengths, but I have not seen 32 days.  The longest I have seen is 16 night LA to Hawaii roundtrip.

The do not give you 7 days free and then you pay for the next 7 days - the cabin is free for the cruises that they have designated.

If you are offered a free inside, you can pay to upgrade to oceanview, balcony, mini suite. etc.

During the course of the cruise, we are usually in the 3,000 - 5,000 points and we get offers (now) for free inside.  use to be balcony.

You cannot get free casino deal on any cruise over 21 days. Unless you can break it up into segments

Who knows what the system does. I do know that when we were on 7 day back to back cruises last month we didn’t get the bounce back till after the 2nd leg and we ran 5000 to 6000 each week

Woolworth---

On your 32-night cruise you won't get an offer till the end of the 32 days

like the night before the last day. On all b2b's no matter how long or short

the off always comes at the end of it.

They track your slots and table play but mainly the slots. Your told they track

the whole cruise, in a way they do some, but really, they track the last cruise.

So b2b's get cheated, we get the same as someone who did one cruise.

Book b2b's because you want to not for a free cruise might not happen.

Their getting tighter in what they give, no PP anymore.

So, I like b2b's because I love them and just take what offer I get. I've been lucky

so far mostly have been balconies.

PS My son just went on his first Princess cruise, and he was told by casino staff he had

to have 800 points a day to get a free room. Was on a seven day, he did it and at

the end got a free balcony (not an inside, was surprised) and six hundred free play.

Only thing giving you shorter times to use them now.

If this is true on all ships (should be) but you know there are things that are different

on all ships even being under Carnival Corp.

Does anyone know how do they calculate points when u are playing blackjack at a 3/2 table and/or how many hours of play at what bet level would likely result in some kind of casino offers?

I don't know how they calculate points, but maybe this will give you an idea.  My husband and I both played 3 card poker 12 out of 14 nights (Sky Princess June 2023).  We bet the table minimum ($5, I think) along with the Pair Plus and Bonus.  Occasionally we would play the Prime bonus.  Every night we each cashed in $200 at the table and played until the casino closed or we lost enough that it hurt.  This probably averaged 2-3 hrs/night.   On most nights one of us would win and one would lose, so as a couple we were breaking even.  (I consider that a WIN!)  By the end of the cruise, I won enough to cover hubby's losses plus $200.    Even though we cashed in the same amount of money and played the same amount of time w/ the same bets, our Come Back offers were different.  Hubby was offered a free interior cabin and $250 OBC.  I was offered $250 OBC.  Trying to book this offer has been a major pain!  The folks at the toll-free number can't find our offers.  There is another thread where others are having similar issues.

I've been told by many couples that you can only use one offer per room.

So, you book the free room with free play. Then your spouse can't take her/his free play.

They all were very unhappy about it.

I travel solo so I only get one offer. So, this is only what I've been told but haven't.

had to deal with it.

I get the free room offer and my husband gets free play only.   When I book the room he gets his free play.

my husband and I usually get the same offers.  I call and since I only book one cabin, he gets his offer (free play and the plus package) and I would get the same.

Now our offers are only for the free cabin and free play.  no plus package.  We get the cabin and he gets his money and I get my money.  We pay the $200 deposit each and then get that as OBC, which we use to pay for the gratuities and miscellaneous once we are on board.

@negn & @roxievegas Thank you both for confirming how the offers should work between my husband and I.  In our case, we need 2 rooms (family of 5) but glad to know we would both get our offers if we choose to do a parents-only cruise again.

@WoolworthAdventures any idea how they decide which partner gets the free cabin?  I joked with my husband and told him it is because he lost money and I won!

When we gamble with 2 medallions we both get offers. You should be able to get 2 cabins with one of you in each one

We have booked two cabins, one in my husband's name and then we put my son in his cabin, one cabin in my name, with my daughter in law and two grandkids.  We then switch around, the grandkids sleep in one room, or they split up.  I go to the guest services and I have the same credit card used for any charges for both cabins, and I have all keys to work for both cabins.

Great that the other person gets their free play. The couples I talked to, didn't.

Yes, I know if you book two rooms you can use both offers, two rooms free.

Do know that the offers from casino when you're on doesn't have the PP offer anymore.

Maybe some still get it if they spend "tons" of money. Don't really know.

On a recent 3-day carnival I earned like 3500 points (all slots) and got a free balcony bounce-back.

$17,500 coin-in with a 10% house edge…$1750 expected loss for a balcony cabin for two..not a bad deal at that rate.

Where did you get 10%.  More like 15 to 20.  They are set as low as they can and still let you play a while.  For VP single line, you have to bet 10 coins. Just got off of 16 days on Emerald.  I was offered free cruises with $600 free play.
