Mexican Riviera - rough waters?

Just booked our first Mexican Riviera cruise… very excited! 5 days out of San Diego, Dec. 17-22 with stops in Ensenada and Cabo, on the Koningsdam. I realize we can’t predict the weather but can anyone tell me if we may experience “rougher” seas at any point?

Going north on the Pacific coast you are going against the current and it is rougher than going south. So yes, you usually feel it.  You might want to take something in advance for your return.

My husband, a sea captain, calls it an uphill run.

My recollection as well from 2010 Oosterdam cruise.  Just kind of "going against the grain" on the way back.  Very smooth on the way down.  That said, it wasn't unpleasant in any way, just a bit more movement.
