Rare LINDAE3213 Posted October 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2022 We just boarded oasis...drove up early...figured we would sit outside vs sitting at home ..doors open...no lines..told to come on in...through xray to checkin desk...no one cared about our 1230 check in time ( ship was already open...no one waiting inside)

smokeybandit Posted October 16, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Check in time enforcement has been highly dependent on the port itself

Merion_Mom Posted October 16, 2022 #8 Share Posted October 16, 2022 As long as things are moving smoothly, they can just let people proceed.

Aquahound Posted October 16, 2022 #10 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Since it was so open, and you were able to breeze right through, why would they enforce check-in time?
meadowlander Posted October 16, 2022 #11 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Same situation on October 9. Adventure September 1 sailing, boarding times were being more strictly enforced.
kitkat343 Posted October 16, 2022 #12 Share Posted October 16, 2022 I think it makes perfect sense for them to always assign boarding times and only enforce them when necessary. It's just important that people are aware of the fact that they can try to board early, but that if the port is busy, RC may make them wait. And it isn't possible to predict if boarding will be busy, or if RC will enforce the rules if it is.

Ret MP Posted October 16, 2022 #14 Share Posted October 16, 2022 (edited) One thing about Royal Caribbean Landside operations, they are consistently inconsistent. Edited October 17, 2022 by Ret MP
Rare Tree_skier Posted October 17, 2022 #15 Share Posted October 17, 2022 For all five of my post covid cruises, check in time was meaningless and unenforced. That includes Seattle x2, Galveston, FLL and LA.
nhraformula00 Posted October 17, 2022 #16 Share Posted October 17, 2022 Was the same 1 month ago boarding the Allure in Fort Lauderdale. We went 2 hours before our time frame and were on the ship in 20 min.
