tampadee Posted October 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2022 (10/11/22) Second day on Allure, we received a letter asking if anyone had luggage that didn't belong to them. Anyone happen to know if the passenger every received luggage?
Cigar King Posted October 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2022 I know our luggage ended up in front of the wrong door on our last cruise. Mistakes happen, hopefully most people are honest.

Wasn’t that bad I got 4 apple air tags a few for the luggage and back pack. And I’m gonna try one on the cat… 1
ATSEAMYLIFE Posted October 22, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2022 We were sitting on our balcony waiting to depart Galveston when I saw a cage cart full of luggage break loose from the others and go over the side of the pier and sink into the water. They couldn't recover it as it was between the pier and the ship. I guess there were a few people who didn't get their luggage that cruise. That my friends is why you carry the important stuff with you. 6
3yorkies Posted October 22, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2022 That and the airlines are why I have been carry on only for over 20 years. Haven't been without my bag since!!! The wheeled ones are so effortless.
Rare Tree_skier Posted October 22, 2022 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2022 We've gotten the same letter on both of our last two cruises.
SeaHunt Posted October 22, 2022 #7 Share Posted October 22, 2022 I remember feeling so bad for someone after getting a letter in our stateroom where a person's CPAP machine hadn't made it to the correct room and they were asking everyone to check for it. Hopefully they found it, or that person might have had a big problem throughout their cruise. 🙃

Sorry…..but it is very unwise to let a piece of medical equipment out of your sight!!

Sorry…..but it is very unwise to let a piece of medical equipment out of your sight!! Exactly. I like to check everything but I have one bag that carries all our medications, our nebulizer, and boosters for the kids. Those things stay with me at all times. TSA likes to look through it whenever we fly so it adds a bit of a hassle to take it through airport security, but the security of knowing we will have the things we need is worth it.
clskinsfan Posted October 23, 2022 #13 Share Posted October 23, 2022 Yeah. Basically if I cant carry it on it doesnt come with me. Having your bags lost just isnt worth it. It has happened WAY TOO many times for me. I will carry my bags. Thank you very much.
loman Posted October 23, 2022 #14 Share Posted October 23, 2022 Happened a couple of weeks ago also on the Allure . We got a notice in our cabin a few days into the cruise. I used apple air tags on that cruise , and will continue to do so.
Rare aubreyc1988 Posted October 23, 2022 #15 Share Posted October 23, 2022 On Allure 10/1/2022, we didn't get our bag until 9pm. Inquired around 7pm, room steward had to go on a hunt for it. I had apple air tags and knew they were on the ship so I wasn't too worried. Never knew what happened exactly but he found it so all is well that ends well. I had all my important docs with me.

There was quite a distance between the two but they got to our room at the same time. Those air tags are cool.
