Pre cruise Covid test

Holland America no longer requires pre cruise Covid test. Will Celebrity follow?

As of now, and I think Sept. 25, no test required for vaxed pax if cruise is  9 days or less from any US or Europe port. Even if required, it is unmonitored self test.

I saw Carnival changed their testing requirements yesterday. I assume it will trickle to other lines.

As others said Celebrity has dropped testing requirements on September 25 except for two conditions.  Celebrity also dropped the requirement that passengers are required to be vaccinated (unless required by countries visited).

 

1.  If not  Vaccination and on a cruise longer than 9 days then you need a unmonitored home test and you take a pictue of it.

 

2.  If it is required by a country the ship is visiting.

3.  If you are on a Transatlantic or Transpacific sailing.  Impacting many this week and next.

I believe transatlantics and transpacifics must be proctored tests, while the 9+ nights can be self tests.

No.  Special handling.  Proctored tests required.
