ms Eurodam and ms Rotterdam in Port Everglades November 9, 2022

Eurodam will be at pier 19 (starboard to) from 5:30am to 4pm.  She is going on an 11-day Panama Canal Sunfarer cruise.

 

 

Rotterdam will be at pier 26 (starboard to) from 5:45am to 4pm.  She is headed on an 11-day Southern Caribbean Wayfarer cruise.

 

 

HAL ships are the only cruise ships in port.

With Tropical Storm/Hurricane headed for South Florida, not sure when this will actually happen.  There's a possibility of 2 successive days, Eurodam and Rotterdam Friday and Nieuw Statendam Saturday.

The captain here on the Rotterdam just announced that the ship will not arrive into Port Everglades until at least Thursday because of Storm Nicole, no arrival time given.

Yes, @breakironis correct. Captain did say they tried to arrange an alternate Florida port for Wednesday but obviously weren't able to. People with flights out using FlighEase will be rebooked.  Everyone on the ship is getting free internet to use if they don't already have it.  We'll keep you informed of any further announcements.

Whenever Nicole decides to depart the cruise port coasts - is when we see some action. Tampa has had fog that have closed the port for up to 2 days - in recent years.

 

It is unusual for a storm in Florida this late in the season. They tend to head north up the Atlantic Ocean and dissipate in the colder waters. This has been a wonky weather year - all over the planet.

Captains on both Eurodam and Rotterdam have announced they will not be in port tomorrow.  That was confirmed by passengers currently on board.

Eurodam and Rotterdam are circling outside Port Everglades.  No official word on opening but "Scheduled" arrival times have been moved to 0940 which is more realistic than 0600.  My revised itinerary shows us leaving at 9PM and missing HMC and Curacao, then picking up our original itinerary.

Ships have  gone from scheduled to Confirmed.  Pilot should arrive soon.  Unfortunately, I need to check out of hotel soon.
