Renewal of annual travel insurance ?

Hi I brought an annua! Travel insurance last year for the first time, my question is do they send you a renewal quote or do you just buy a new one were with Avanti

 If you signed up for auto renewal, they should advise you before renewal date of the new quote.

You can be quite sure that they will send you renewal details in good time with regular reminders.

They will always send a renewal quote.  After that, go to a comparison site for the best deal.

And make sure you check the policy still meets your needs... there have been a lot of changes to annual policies since the pandemic.

Be careful purchasing from comparison websites as there might ney a difference in the small print. I had a quote from one company via a comparison then went on their website to compare price and insurance site was more expensive. I phoned to ask why and was told not exactly same policy as the one on comparison was not as comprehensive and was adjusted just to make it come higher up in comparison sites price wise. Read the small print and buyer beware.

They are required to send you a renewal notice at least 14 days before auto renewal.

I have annual Travel Insurance that is due to expire on December 24th.
As I elected not to have automatic renewal,I sought a quote for next year

from the same insurer,discovering they have a 20% off Black Friday offer,which 

ends on Nov 28th.

So I have renewed,but I can’t help wondering if I had automatic renewal

would I have got any discount.

No. The car insurance market was the first to enforce fair pricing between new and existing customers. Don’t believe any other insurance product is subject to those rules yet.
