Cruise Planner Refunds

I cancelled and rebooked a a few things on November 23. The credits hit overnight. And...they gave me $18 more than what I should have received!

<OPINION>  Royal's current credit rating is E2 - highest credit risk.   Wouldn't be surprised if this cash flow change in their favor is not an accident.

Such ideas were floated when refunds during early COVID were taking months and were for full cruise fares, not much smaller planer purchases - the much simpler,  crappy IT and incompetence, usually explains many things at RCI.

I cancelled multiple items on 11/18 and 11/23. What makes me nervous is that refunds posted for all except one of the 11/18 items and 2 out of the 5 on 11/23. Why would some post and not others? Crossing my fingers they post soon. I am waiting for almost $800 of refunds!

Hopefully everyone has the confirmation emails with all cancellations.  It’ll help with anyone needing further resolutions.

cancelled Alaska shore excursion on 11/21,  refund shows up on credit card yesterday.  Took 11 calendar days.

Refunds seem to be working for those except for 11/18.

I am also waiting for a refund for a purchase cancelled on 11/18. Following this thread to hear if this starts to resolve itself over the next few weeks or if I have to call.

I cancelled three things during the Black Friday sale and rebooked and the credit showed up on Thursday so it was about a week turnaround.

I’m another with an 11/18 refund that still hasn’t shown up. I booked a cabana and then realized I booked the wrong thing. Canceled and booked the right thing.  Hopefully soon…

Report back. My guess is they'll tell you allow up to 14 business days.

I just phoned about refunds from 20th Nov

I was told there was a 30-45 day wait for refunds

Told him I wasn’t impressed that they take my money immediately but refunds take so long to get back.

As he laughed it off (yes - laughed) I cut him short and told him I didn’t find it remotely funny at all and didn’t appreciate him laughing about the situation.

still no further forward and got to wait another 15 days 🤷‍♂️
 

Made me feel better I left a rubbish review for him on the survey

At least I'm "only" waiting for $200 and not thousands like some of you. 🙄
