Good morning.  Thanks for the Daily and Fleet Report.

A good collection of days.  I don't square dance but I think Giving Tuesday is a great thing.   Lemon cream pie sounds good too.

Interesting quote.

I'll pass on the meal, and hope the drink and wine are tasty.

I've never been to today's port.

Prayers for everyone.  I hope there are lots of celebrations.

Have a wonderful day.

Stay safe.

Morning all. Off early to a routine 🤞🏻 Car maintenance appointment. I will check back in later.

This might be a repeat, but felt appropriate for today…

Prayers for all who need our support. Cheers to all who are celebrating! Stay well everyone!

Château Guiot 2020 Rosé (Costières de Nîmes)

This vintage is very elusive. I could not find any online distributors for it! A first! I did find the 2021 vintage available at a few places for prices starting at $9.99, but could not find any reviews of it. Truly a unique wine du jour.

90 Wine Enthusiast

Elegant strikes of graphite and basalt lend freshness to this brightly berried, cherried blend of Grenache and Syrah. Plump on the palate but dry in style, it's a mouthwatering, fresh-fruited rosé ideal for poolside quaffing.

Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida.

Sunny today with temps in the low 80s.

Not sure about the quote.

We learned how to Square Dance in 8th grade in Chicago public schools along with the Waltz, why Square dancing, I've never been able to figure that out and I haven't square danced since then.

I'm not sure what giving Tuesday is but it sounds like something good to help the less fortunate.

I'm not a fan of lemon cream pie but a lady friend of ours at our old golf club in Bonita Springs made lemon bars that were to die for.

Pass on cauliflower pizza.

US needs a must win today against Iran if they want to advance to the round of 16 at the World Cup.

Thanks for The Daily, everyone stay well and have a great day.

Good morning from Alter Do Chao Brazil.  After yesterdays horrid tender ride, stuck in the sun without a breeze for over 30 minutes we are skipping today's tender port.

Kentucky Sunrise cocktail:

Ingredients
1/2 part Grenadine
1 part Jim Beam® Original
3 parts Orange Juice
Garnish with Maraschino Cherries
Garnish with Orange Slice

Instructions
Build in order over ice in highball glass. Float the grenadine. Garnish with an orange slice or a cherry.

Thank you for the Tuesday report, Rich.  Every day should be giving day.  I haven't tried Square Dancing in decades but a Lemon Cream Pie sounds nice.  The quote reminds me of Janis Joplin's "Me and Bobby McGee".  I have not been to La Rochelle.  The meal sounds nice.  My alternative is Chilled Roasted Peach Soup, Roasted Duck Breast, and Upside Down Apple Tartlet as served on MS Prinsendam November 29, 2013.

Thanks for the Fleet update and general info.

RNB is now just four days away from another great cruise on the N. Statendam.

Hope to get some great new materials to post on this thread in the future, not like what happened on my Celebrity Beyond cruise a couple of weeks ago. Not the best experience but beautiful ship. Too many issues for a new ship. (If I have already posted these issues please pretend you haven’t seen them before.) A couple of issues were,

The elevator service was bad, “How bad was it RNB”? It was so bad that Celebrity has offered frequent flyer miles for miles traveled in the wrong direction on the elevators 😳.

On Day 3 at 12:53 AM all the lights in the cabin turned on, the TV turned on, the mechanical blinds at the window raised up, the toilet flushed, etc. I quickly looked under the bed to see if our cabin steward was there to see if the CS had done this. 😀. No, I found out it was an IT problem and had happened four months ago. By the way, most cabins on ship experienced this. I think the next day I saw the IT guy escorted off the ship.

On a so called lighter note, a passenger on the ship was wearing a t shirt that said, “Adventure before Dementia”. I told the passenger I liked the t shirt but I could not remember my last adventure 😳.

Good morning friends!  We arrived today in Alter do Chao to rain but it seems to be dry out there right now.  If we tender over to shore we won't be staying long.  I noticed today is La Rochelle, France and that was a port on our European rivers cruise in Sept. 2018.  However trying to get those photos on DH's tiny travel laptop is a real chore.  Shutterfly doesn't want to load them.  I can see some photos on my phone but can't get a great look at the tiny thumbnail photos, so quite a chore.  I see Graham's photos and it does bring some memories to mind.

Anyway, this is a first time post for La Rochelle so no link required today to Rich's post.  Maybe we will go to shore now, and check back in later.  If I can get any photos posted I'll do it then.  Meanwhile, prayers for all in need and cheers for all celebrating. 🥂 Hope your day is a good one!❤️

Good morning everyone. I am still testing negative for covid but very nervous. My grandson is still sick but working from home, so I think he must be doing better.
Income from New Rochelle, NY, named by the Huguenots for La Rochelle in France. it’s a city of 80,000 and very diverse population. The elementary schools are great and so is the high school.
Stay safe everyone,

Carol

I would rarely say this but I wish you continued negativity.  I hope the Middle schools are ok.

I also hope you remain negative Carol. My aunt was a Guidance Counselor at New Rochelle High School from 1943 to 1967 and also taught math there. She loved her job and the school.

Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily fleet report.  Tonight I take River to the vet for her annual checkup. Getting her into the carrier will be a challenge.  I’d be happy to have a slice of lemon cream pie, I’ll settle for the last of the lemon filled donuts we brought home.  Wishing everyone a good day today.

Good Tuesday Morning Dailyites!  It's sunny and clear, and 43.  Of course we are expecting  rain tonight, and those folks from east TX through Alabama, please stay safe today and tonight.

The alarm clock just went off, so I think DH is making an attempt to getup and go to the store with me today.  We are still eating ruebens, but ran out of swiss cheese, and the cat needs her "cookies" and worse of all, we are out of coffee.🙀  We have enough for the afternoon pot, but then we would not have any for tomorrow morning!

Giving Tuesday started in NY to give an umpf to the theatres and charities to get some kind of reaction to fund raising.  You will probably get calls today from people like me, who are asking you to keep the magic happening for the generation that will make tomorrow happen!  Imagine a world without music, or live performances, or art in a museum.  It would be terrible!

I have three shifts today, with small breaks in between, giving me enough time to walk the dog, make a meatloaf, cook the dinner, eat the dinner, I start at 11 and finish at 9.....

My roommate my freshman year in college was from New Rochelle.

No to cauliflower pizza.  Cauliflower is an excellent veggie, when smothered in cheese or roasted with olive oil, but after that, I'm not in.

Good morning fellow Dailyites. There was frost on the ground but the weather will see saw up to the sixties tomorrow before plummeting again the next morning. The squirrels are confused.

I never had a lemon cream pie but would probably like it. I have had pizza with a cauliflower crust and enjoyed it . Roy, @rafinmd, I now have the ear worm of “ Me and Bobbie McGee” running through my brain and might just have to start belting it out soon!

We visited  La Rochelle at the same time Sandi did in 2018 on the Prinsendam. It was lovely walking around the beautiful town and I found one picture I took.

Good morning, thanks for the Fleet Report and Daily!  I haven't square danced since my parents' 50th wedding anniversary celebration in 1982.  Every day should be a giving day in some form, and I'd love to try a slice of lemon cream pie.

Looking out the front window, it appears we had more snow overnight along with a wind to blow it into drifts.  I think today we'll be getting out the little electric snowblower, our high boots and heavy coats to do the driveway and sidewalk, as it's going to be too difficult to try to shovel the hard drifts.  The temperature is dropping throughout the week with an expected low of -31C by Friday.  Ah, the joys of living on the "frozen tundra".

Despite the weather, we'll be heading out today to have lunch with the friends we'll be cruising with in January.  We want to determine the nights we'll be enjoying dinner in the specialty restaurants, and need to make our reservations soon or we'll be left with whatever's available.  I love planning for our holidays; not everybody does.

I think I'll give today's menu a pass, although I like raw cauliflower, or when like @marshhawk, it's cooked and smothered in cheese sauce, but not in a pizza.  The restaurant our friends chose for lunch today is known for their large portions, so I'm not going to be making anything for dinner tonight.  I'm pretty sure we'll be eating leftovers - mine will be a beef dip, while DH's will enjoy breaded veal cutlets - at the kitchen table.  And wine.

Prayers for those who are hurting, cheers for everyone with something to celebrate.  Stay safe, be well.

Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂
