Leaving for our honeymoon in just a few hours!  Can’t believe that it is finally here! Please tell me what you have left behind so I can double check that I have it.

Thanks!

Birth control?🥰

I always print out a copy of our passports. Sadly the original passport was left in the copy machine at home, on the opposite coast. When we tried to board, the copy was a “no”.  We jumped in a taxi went to the passport office, new photo, much whining and crying, after several hours we made it just in time to board @ 4:00.
We were told not to tell the officials the passport was at home, cause they would say go get it. We lied.

I left my late husband's casual pants hanging on the back of the bedroom door as I was planning to fold them neatly on their hangers and put them in the suitcase shortly before leaving, and, of course, forgot them.  So I'm unpacking in the cabin and all he had was shorts and the suit pants.   He was ticked.

So..... he had to wear his suit pants every night in the dining room.  All week.  With his Hawaiian shirts.  Luckily we did buffet for lunches.

Not on a cruise but a two week business trip - I forgot the luggage,  yep everything but my hanging clothes.  No underwear, no toiletries, no extra shoes - left them all at home.  I was a Walmart fashion diva for two weeks.  So now we always say “don’t worry, there is always Walmart” and yes there is a store everywhere you go including on the ship.

On our last cruise, we sailed out of San Juan PR, 7 nights south Caribbean.

We had a red eye, left at 0:30 - got to San Juan at 2:30 in the afternoon and the missus discovers that she forgot her (prescription) sunglasses 😬

Fortunately CVS had a pair that fit over her regular glasses or it would have been a week of "Watch out for that step", "Mind the curb", etc.

Makes her look like one of the 90 year olds at the casino but....what you gonna do 🙂

Years ago I forgot to put one item of luggage in the car at Disney World.  I realized my mistake when I backed over it.

A Caribbean cruise and forgot sun burn relief gel. It was stupid expensive onboard. We are really diligent with sunscreen so it never occurred to me, but it was still needed.

This was us too - we bought aloe with lidocaine in port in Mexico and it was probably 4x-5x what we would have paid for a similar bottle at home.

We drove from Dallas to NOLA [10 hour drive], only to discover that the passports were sitting on the table in Dallas! Called our daughter, who got the passports and started driving east; meanwhile Mike jumped back in the car and drove 5 hours north to meet up with her half way. She got a hotel for the night and he drove back to NOLA that night, getting in at 5am. In one of those unexpected coincidences, fog rolled in and departure was delays by about 6 hours. He managed to sleep for 5-6 hours, we boarded and he took a nap!

Moral of the story - double and triple check the passports!

Yikes!  You know, because of cruise critic, we visually check that we have the passports when we get in the car to leave the house.

It wasn't me but on my cruise to the Falklands and S Georgia someone forget the charger for his camera batteries.  They didn't have one in Ushuaia.  Luckily others on the cruise had cameras that used the same type of batteries so he was OK.

Even though I’m a redhead I do get some color when I’m in the sun, not a lot mind you, but not Casper the friendly ghost white. Second night I got all gussied up for prom night (Caribbean cruise) and looked in the mirror to realize that my face looked like a ghost while my chest and arms were pink. Not burned , a gallon of sunscreen prevented that. But I had left my “summer “ makeup at home.
made an expensive stop at the shops that night

I forgot to take an extra color of lipstick. I only had the one in my purse, which was a lighter shade for daytime wear. Usually I go for something more dramatic in the evenings. Not a huge deal, particularly since they sell makeup on the ship, even Benefit Cosmetics and other high-end brands I favor. But I decided to just use what I had and go with it.
