Good news about the crew smoking area on the Diamond Princess

I am currently on the Diamond Princess.

The crew smoking area is back to pre-Covid ,  in the crew area on deck 4.

No more crew smoking on deck 7 aft

The passenger smoking area is at lido deck aft and on the aft starboard side deck 7.

Hopefully the rest of the PCL ships will follow.

Hopefully this will spread to other ships as well..  We splurged on an aft facing full suite for our January '23 Panama Canal cruise on thee Emerald and I am really concerned that we will not be able to use our balcony because of the cigarette stench.  It will also open up the promenade deck for full walk around.

The Ruby has also switched the crew smoking area.  They are no longer smoking on deck 7 aft.

😁 I am soooo very happy to hear this.  Hopefully on the Caribbean Princess it will follow.  We have an aft balcony on Deck 9.  Anyone know if CB has stopped the smoking too?

Sad to report that we're on Grand Princess at moment and back of Aft Promenade still roped off for crew smoking. Same on Coral Princess recently. Let's hope that the good news and change of policy spreads throughout the fleet quickly!

The Sapphire had no smoking on the aft promenade either. I sailed her the first 2 weeks of November.  Just the small section on starboard aft as usual.  What a relief

This is all great news! We were on the Emerald in May and the smoking was seriously an issue while in our corner aft balcony.

We were on the Grand in September and crew smoking on the Promenade was still an issue. This also prevented people from walking the full Promenade.

We will be on the Sky in June and hopefully the crew will return to their area pre -covid.

On Grand today, first time we could walk the entire promenade. Fingers crossed, management have listened, and it is not temporary.

We are on the Diamond in January with a Aft Mini Suite on Deck 8.  Was just a little concerned about the smoking on deck 7 being a problem.

We didn't have any problems on the Emerald Princess when I walked aft on the Promenade deck in November. I think things went back to normal.
