No, I have reserved in a different spot. Also, like I said, friends tried to book it last week but couldn't.

So that is the excursion...shows reserved in upper left and sold out on the right.

Here is another excursion I have reserved, but *not* sold out. As you can see, instead of "sold out" it has "reserve" on the right...

Yours certainly looks different than mine!. I'm using Chrome for the website...

Weird...I am using Chrome too. Are you using the US site?

Yes...using it on a desktop (WIN 11)...maybe it'll look like yours after I'm able to access it again...

I've already noticed some changes they've made to booking cruises (in appearance)...ah, the many wonders of X IT...😀

Me neither unfortunately. And, according to the site, the sale is over in 25 minutes...

ARRGGGHHH...glad I called in for the one excursion (behind the scenes)...was going to check others when it came back...*very* frustrating...

Conspiracy Theory #1 - they purposefully crashed the excursion page because of the massive response and wanted to save the money...lol...  (honestly, just kidding...)

Wow - this board is AWESOME!  You guys just saved me $200 on my cruise departing on 12/21/22.

A couple of data points if helpful:

  • I currently have 3 cruises booked (two are B2B)
  • The first leaves Rio on 12/12 - NO CYBER discounts at all on that cruise
  • The second leaves Buenos Aires on 12/21 - saved $200 on this one (plus I purchased the famous internet upgrade for two of us)
  • The third is in Dec 2023 - I'm consistently getting the dreaded "Plan My Cruise is Unavailable Now" error message on the website - I have not been able to access that one for over an hour (but I could access the other two without any problem)

THANK YOU!!

Go to the app, I was able to book thru the app

Thank you, @Wulfwyn. I installed the app on my phone and was able to rebook three excursions for my February ABC cruise using it. I still cannot get into that reservation on my laptop even using an incognito window. I appreciate the tip!

Yes - thank you for the tip.

I also downloaded the app and was able to access my Dec 2023 cruise (which is still not accessible via my laptop.)  I was able to book an excursion at 35% off.  I can't find a way to book Wi-Fi on the app, however.

thx everyone.  Was able to get that internet voucher.  I cancelled my premium upgrade from basic and then purchased this voucher.

Edited to add, I used my tablet instead of my phone this am.  Can't get into cruise planner on my phone.  😁

Thanks for posting this. I cancelled all my pre booked excursions and re booked them. Saved hundreds of dollars. Thanks again!

Nice!

It will be interesting to see how long they will have this sale.

It took me ten or fifteen minutes this morning to find a way to get onto the Cruise Planner for my trip! I had to go through the Shore Excursions link at the very bottom of the website (not within my reservation, where it was never available) and eventually that took me a to a page that advised me to go to my Cruise Planner. When I clicked on that link, I was suddenly in the Cruise Planner for my next sailing!

We have 3 port days on my next sailing and we had only booked an excursion in one of them. It was booked during a previous sale, but even so, I saved a further $70 in total by canceling it and rebooking under today's sale prices! Putting that savings towards an excursion in one of the other ports. Glad to have finally figured out how to get to my Cruise Planner! 🤣

Purchased the Premium Internet Upgrade for a 13/7 Solstice sailing for £16 for 2 devices. For a Millenium sailing 4/24 X wanted to charge me £626😬

Had a Sold Out excursion to Hamoi overnight for £678. Saw that it was £608. Called to revise the charges but advised he would need to cancel the trip and may not be able to rebook!

Woo-hoo! Have saved $150 so far on my 2024 Caribbean cruise on the Apex!!

I also saved about $30 on my upcoming Jan cruise...I had booked them months ago before they upped the excursion prices so my savings weren't as much...but I'm not complaining.

Also, a bunch of excursions I booked are suddenly sold out!!

ETA: Oh, btw, no sale price on the Hot Glass class though...

I booked the wifi upgrade voucher. I don't think it will be honoured for the whole cruise at 9.99 but will allow you to upgrade for that price per day. I also booked some casino slot vouchers as I have OBC and the excursions are not my cup of tea. I guess I will use the rest of the OBC when I am board. I am sure I can spend the difference on drinks over my classic package. I hope you all get some bargains as lord knows we need it at the moment!

Are they actually updating the price you paid and refunding the difference back to your credit card? Or just canceling and rebooking for you (which is what Royal does)?

I'm not sure how they did it on mine.  I had them do it for the behind the scenes tour which was sold out, but whatever they did (cancel/rebook or just adjust the price) - they were able to keep me in the tour.  I had used OBC to pay so there was no credit card involved on my transaction.  The difference appeared on my OBC.  This was on a past sailing - not this current promo.

I logged in my cruise planner and canceled my tours that were at a cheaper sale price and immediately rebooked but they weren't sold out so I knew it was safe. I called Celebrity for one excursion that wouldn't let me cancel, it was odd but Celebrity rep cancelled and I went in my cruise planner to rebook while still on the phone. Super easy.

I've saved BIG Bucks and am very grateful to the OP for the heads up!

35% is now gone.  Some smaller savings remain … snoozing and losing

Some of the shorex tours have gone back to normal pre-cruise savings for my 3 booked cruises, but many are still at the 35% discount level.

Oh good to know.  I was looking at five or six and they all went back to 15%.
