shubsens Posted December 15, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 15, 2022 We sailed on Celebrity on Equinox and the adult pool was the solarium. On the new ships are any of the outdoor pools adult only.
jelayne Posted December 15, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 15, 2022 The E class has 1 outdoor pool and a solarium pool which is adults only except on cool weather itineraries where they open it up to families for 2 hrs late afternoon. unless you are booking a holiday sailing, Celebrity does not normally have a large number of children.

I'm currently on Apex on a warm weather itinerary, and the Solarium pool is open daily for family time. Edited December 15, 2022 by hrhdhd

So there is no Adult pool then, sad. We only sailed on Celebrity once and just got back from a Princess cruise but thought we might like Celebrity again but having some sort of an Adult pool area like Princess is a show stopper. It really is an adult pool the vast majority of the time. Kids are allowed in with their parents for only a short period of time, and generally there are very few kids on Celebrity. Have previously sailed on princess. We had a hard time finding seating at the adult pool. IMO poorly designed. Had to pay for seating in the sanctuary. However, haven't been on any new princess ships and hopefully they have improved. Edited December 16, 2022 by Cruise a holic

We were just on the Sky (one of the newer ships) and the Retreat Pool is now surrounded by cabins - you can't see the ocean from the pool level and fewer seats by the pool. IMO much worse than on the Regal - it looks like the courtyard at a motel.

If it's that important you may want to look at Virgin cruise line.
Nashna Posted December 16, 2022 #9 Share Posted December 16, 2022 The adult pool on the newer Princess ships is in a terrible location. You must sit on the windy upper deck to see the ocean. Drink service was non-existent.

The problem is, in my experience, that parents continue to being their kids anytime. And no one enforces it.
