Chefs table will be tomorrow and YES they are doing the galley tour!!

We had to sign a health protocol waiver. Wear mask, closed toed shoes and gown in the galley.

For our January cruise, they mentioned you couldn’t sign up for Chefs table in advance of the cruise and we should plan to sign up quickly once we board.

Was this the same situation on your cruise?

Yes. We signed up at guest services when we boarded.

Chefs table tonight!! We ate very light today to prepare!

YAY!!! Enjoy. We all look forward to your report. The crew on the Grand gave us a photo with all of the diners and a signed cookbook!

For those on the ship - we are going to be running very late because we have to wait for a tanker that we are transiting with. Folks are not happy about getting back at 7:30-8:00.

Seems fairly Typical…

at the mercy of Canal operations

not Princess Cruises

Tell me more about the chefs table..what is it, how many people can do it, is there a cost involved, etc.

Thanks for all the info on this cruise..we will be going on the Feb 10 Panama Canal cruise.  One other question...did they do surf & turf one night and if so is there an extra charge?

Thanks

As I recall, when on the Grand in September, it was around $90.00 to $100.00 per person. DH was charged less because he does not drink alcohol. They were very sweet and accommodating and served him other beverages. There were several courses with the Chef explaining the courses we were served. The table could accommodate 12 people but we had less so that was surprising as people are usually placed on a waiting list. We were in a private room in the Crown Grill.

Basically, the first thing I did when we reached our cabin was to call the Dine Line and told them that we would like to participate in a Chef's Table if they were going to have it. They took our names and cabin number and placed us on the list because they did not know at that point that it would be offered.
