It must be "played" before cashing out.

We were told non-refundable was not allowed at all for the Casino, DSC or Cruise Next.
Never tried though 🤷‍♂️

Had my shareholders OBC last month.

Luckily checked our bill the next to last day & noticed $60 still available in OBC. HUH?

We had been charging poker tournaments to our room.

Was told basically dining, drinks, shore excursions, spa & shopping were the only things we could use it on.

I'll be getting the shareholder OBC for the first time on my next cruise, which is non-refundable.  I don't generally charge much, if anything, during a cruise.  I've read that you're allowed to upgrade the drink package on-board, so I think I'm gonna try that have the $100 credit go towards that

One note--in August on the Getaway I was allowed to use my shareholder OBC for casino charges.

NOT on the Encore in December.

Is it a ship decision or corporate, not sure.

I think it's more of a glitch in the system if it is actually allowed.  But each ship seems to have different accounting systems and knowing what's charged where is not often apparent unless the only thing on your account is a casino charge.

That's been my experience.  I had $100 shareholder OBC and another $100 from the casino.  When I tried to use some of it in a slot machine it just charged to my room.
