I can speak personal experience. If your ship is at terminal J, the normal Oceania terminal”, on the south side next to the corporate headquarters of RCCL, take the bridge into the port!  If you take the tunnel you end up being directed by the signage to drive last every other cruise terminal.

I guess that is what happened to us in Dec. I thought maybe it had to do with some construction.  Thanks for the info.

Hi,  I know there was some discussion awhile ago about the delivery (or not) of the Oceania tote bags.  Did you receive one in your room?

We did not get a tote.  We spoke to long time Oceania cruises last night (Concierge class) and they also did not get a tote bag.

Oops, forgot a major point for today’s festivities. The ship is hosting a Super Bowl party and showing the game in Horizons. You can also watch the game on the TV in your room.

Several months ago, I booked my specialty restaurant reservations and ended booking Toscana for tonight. Oh well. The DW has zero interest in football. She will probably tolerate me watching the second half after dinner.

We originally had Red Ginger booked for tonight, but once we realized DH's Chiefs were in the Super Bowl, we changed our reservations to last night, instead.  Surprisingly, we got a single table rather than shared even after changing it so recently.

This is what a standard pour looks like for wine. Pretty consistent across all bars. When poured, the server has no idea of our drink package.

Wow!  I need to go where you're going.  So far, my pours onboard have not been that generous.  (Horizons or Martini bar).

😂 Have never seen those huge pours!

My customers would fire someone doing that! 😳

That was the Casino Bar. For the sake of science, I tested a pour at Horizons. 😜

Hi pinotlover

Always love your posts on all things wine, food and drinks in general.

I’m a passive investor in a group of restaurants in Scottsdale, so I think a little bit about the economics of the bar/hospitality business. (Not a business or an investment for amateurs!) Your comment here is spot on. I do think that first photo in the Casino Bar is distorted from a perspective stand point with me in the background.

What A Market, I am glad to see you are doing such in-depth scientific research 🥂, keep up the good work.

As that no doubt is scientific research, can the cruise be viewed as a business expense?

What A Market - thank you for all the info you are posting as we board the Riviera on February 20 so we are enjoying the preview.

My husband and myself will be boarding Riviera on Feb 20.  Thanks to all for the pictures and muster info.  We will be on for 20 days and hope to use the launderette.  Does anyone know if they have soap dispensers or should we bring our own detergent?

Soap in laundry room was fine for us.  Don't forget to pack a few dryer sheets cause everything came out full of static. There also were baskets in there to use yourself or to put laundry in from people who have "forgotten" theirs in the machines.

The Oceania Suite and its interesting/weird TV room. And the Safety Video still required viewing in the room. (Only the third or fourth time I’ve watched, including online check in and various emails. Lol)

Great for you.

That was certainly not our "standard pour".  Our was half a glass at best. An inch or more below your level. 😞

I agree.  I think they have made some changes to that room on the new ship  The drawings on cruisedeckplans show a l shaped sofa bed and no coffee table.

I took my daughter with me on a cruise in anOceania suite.  I ordered the cot for that media room because the king bed can't be separated(unless it's for Jacques Pepin and his daughter) and I was hoping to have the bed to myself.

Didn't work too well.  The bed was wedged between the sofa and the desk and to get onto the bed you had to fling yourself forward like you were an acrobat.  Picture Patrick Swayze as the bed and Jennifer Gray doing that leap into his arms.

Needless to say it only happened for 1 night.

We just got off Sirena last week. We always tell the wine server that we have the House Select beverage package when we first order, although they do not take our cards until the end.  Our wine was always refilled before the glass was empty.  The pours were very generous.  Usually the wine servers/sommeliers remembered us after the first time.

...Just arrived in St. Vincent. A bit late into port. We were a couple of hours late yesterday for St. Kitts.

Just curious, what times did you arrive and leave St. Kitts? And what time did you arrive in St. V? (Did both off Sirena 11/2022. Thankfully while we were forced to skip St. Kitts none of our times were shortened afterwards. (Thinking we actually added some time at Dominica.)
