Things to do near Miami international airport

We just got our airline flights and have a large chunk of time before we can check in to our hotel the day before our cruise and then again a larger chunk of time after we get back from our cruise. Any thoughts on what we can do either after we land in Miami or while we wait for our evening flight out of Miami? We don’t really want to spend a ton of money and also aren’t sure how we would handle our luggage.

@Lesmas

Howdy and thank you for your new thread on the Ask a Cruise Question forum! However, it is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. Your inquiry concerns a specific North American homeport and is off topic there.

To help you out I have moved your thread to the Florida Departures forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that live in, sailed out of or into Miami frequent this forum and provide feedback here. Browse through the thread titles on this forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you.

Please feel free to browse the Cruise Critic Community categories list for the various board forums. Read a few threads in the forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads (aka Stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there.

Hope this will be helpful and glad to have you aboard the Cruise Critic message boards!

Happy sails,

Host Kat

Any hotel should store your bags (tip appropriately) if your room is not ready while you enjoy lunch, drinks, etc.

Post cruise you can check resortpass.com for hotels/resorts offering day passes to their pool/spa/beach facilities. Tip them to store your bags while you swim, relax and grab lunch.

There is also luggage lounge in South beach who will store your bags for a fee while you explore SB.
