We had a fantastic day in PV today.

After doing a little shopping next to the cruise terminal at the old flea market shops, we walked out to the streets to hire a taxi.  Taxi's are not allowed into the terminal area.  They want you to use the 12 passenger share vans (they charge $5 pp).

We walked out to the street and found a taxi waiting for us.  Ride to downtown was $15.  There was very little traffic and we found the Malecón area to have a lot fewer people than when we were here for New Year's.

Photos from the Malecón, Old Town and river area:

We had lunch at our favorite PV restaurant, Pipi's.  We have been eating at Pipi's since the early 90's.  They never dissapoint.  Today we had coconut margaritas and the "crispy shrimp" tacos.

We came across this t-shirt, a motto that we will have to revisit after this 5 week trip!  🍷🥂🍹🍺🍸

This little boat was docked right behind our balcony.

They added this art display to the terminal building since our last visit.  The umbrellas are suspended in the open air.

Hmmm... Is one supposed to dress as royalty or do they just not understand how English works?  I'm guessing the latter since there is also a misplaced apostrophe. Not exactly professional.

How funny!  We didn't notice.  It must have been those margaritas at lunch.  😆

We came back from the port to find an invitation to a MTG Cocktail Party.  This was unexpected!  We already had the two luncheons as this voyage encompassed two back to back cruises.

I am wondering if the invitation has a miss-print for Skywalkers as I thought that location was always spelled as one word.  I wonder if Lucasfilm made them change it.  (Deck plans still show it spelled as one word).  I also don't know that Lucas could have copyrighted the name since it is made from two common words and may have been in existence prior to 1977.

Did a short search and Lucas protected several names, including "Luke Skywalker", but "Skywalker" on its own appears not and another note mentioned person names cannot be copyrighted.  I kind of doubt Princess has a problem with the name use and they certainly weren't evoking Star Wars when they came up with the moniker.

Oh my - of course.  More spelling issues.  Not professional for certain.

Good morning Cabo San Lucas!  The Princess Discovery and the Carnival Panorama are also scheduled to be here today.  We beat them.  We are the first ship scheduled to leave today.

Debbie is going ashore to shop and I'm at my happy place, The Sanctuary.  Having been here about 8 times in the past 2 years I figured I would skip the water shuttles.

You are right! I missed that one... Princess deck plans do list it as "Skywalkers". A bit odd that it's a singular name rather than plural but there's no apostrophe in the Princess spelling.

The Discovery Princess making a late arrival to Cabo.  I was just chatting with the F&B Director onboard the Discovery via Whatsapp, they have 4,100 passengers onboard.  Cabo is about to get real busy!

While you're lounging in your happy place, keep an eye out for breaching whales! They were definitely jumping when we were there on the CB in early May last year! 😃

We are not leaving until 6pm.  The wind has kicked up and is turning us around.

Sadly this is the last day of the cruise.  We have Pink 2 luggage tags and should be in the first independent group to disembark that will collect bags in the terminal.

Last night at the MTG Cocktail Party (which was great btw) the Guest Services Director told us that there are just over 100 passengers staying onboard for the following 6 day cruise to Vancouver.  They will be embarking 1,800+ new passengers tomorrow in San Pedro.

I'm off to the Fitness center for my last onboard workout!  😔
