I never take original bottles and I have never had problems.  I do take one precaution.  I have diabetes and I take a shot once per week.  I have a letter from my endocrinologist saying that I have diabetes and listing the medical stuff that I might be taking w me for the disease.

Mrs Ldubs takes your approach.  She has never been asked or had any problems.  On the other hand, I have been asked if my pill bottles were prescribed meds.

I take the approach of Mrs.Ldubs.However,the only time I have ever been asked about pills on vacation was when I had shoulder length hair and a matching beard.

"Huge" inconvenience might be just a little overstating.  I'm also one of those that just tosses the pill bottles into my carryon.  I admit I'm too lazy to sort them out into one of those daily pill organizers.

I find the organizers to be helpful in keeping track of whether I've taken a medication or not. Helps me not miss or double dose.

Oh gawd, how many times have I sat there wondering did I take the pills or not.  For some reason my pill bottles have lids with threads top & bottom.   The lids go on one way in the morning and one way in the evening.  Then I can worry about whether I flipped the lid.  😀
