Does Wonder of the Seas have oceanview rooms mid-ship?

Recommended Posts

Is there a floorplan for all of the oceanview rooms? I always assumed oceanview will be in the front or back of the ship only. But now that I look at Icon of the Seas, they have a bunch that's mid-ship. Of course that ship is designed a bit different.

As front/back there will be a good amount of motion with oceanview. As one person in particular gets motion sickness.

Most ships I've sailed on have OVs lower than the balconies, deck 1 or 2 most likely. In case of storms they rarely put balconies on low decks. (Carnival cove balconys being a exception).

Deck 1 or 2 OV I've had storm spray my windows.

Yeah, there's OV on Deck 3. I was just curious if all OVs are located at the front or back of ship only vs. center of the deck.

I've never personally been inside an OV. My wife said the one time she did one with her family she felt sick. But I am asking for a few other people who will be sailing, two of them do not like the motion, one in particular will get sick. But if the OV is in the middle of whatever of floor then I would assume they won't feel anything. Because even with a balcony on the back/front of ship you will feel a bit of motion (least I did last time).

I guess I wasnt clear. Yes they are mid ship on lower decks on almost every cruise ship.

If the ship is rocking everyone will feel the motion. Less in the middle and lower. Think of a teter toter, and when it moves up and down. The ends get more motion. Higher also gets a bit more motion.

If you go out to cruisedeckplans dot com, you'll see all the cabin types on each deck.  But as others have said mid ship OVs appear to be only on deck 3.

58 OV cabins on deck 3, all are midship. Most of those cabins are under the Ice rink or the casino.
