Embarkation day - Carry-ons and luminae

50 something cruises over the years and the only time we ever had an issue was on Celebrity and they saw my Swiss Army cigar cutter on the scan, just had to open it in front of them and then no issues.

it is O reception that told us they contract out this service and have no control over it....

I’ve read here on CC (so don’t bite my head off!), that this is true of every cruiseline in almost every port. Local unions/other local authorities control the ports, this is a reason why many cruiseline embarkations are awful. More to do w the local port than the cruiseline.

yes  but the onshore contract workers control what happens in the port not on the ship 

He said the bag was found on the ship

Some will even carry your plate to the table

If worried go to Waves & order  then they will bring the food to your table

If you’re really concerned and want a big breakfast, you can order the included room service.

Always look for the porter bringing the luggage to the staterooms when our category is called and hand him a few bucks never have to wait more then a little while ,all brought together.
