NewHere- Posted March 19, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2023 Is it true that housekeeping has been reduced to once a day? If so, when is it-and did the gratuities for housekeeping get reduced?
Rare ReneeFLL Posted March 19, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2023 Yes it’s true it’s now once a day. Your choice either morning or night. Gratuities are the same.
time4u2go Posted March 19, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2023 Yes it's once a day. Gratuities actually increased last fall.
melbur Posted March 19, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2023 Beware of what they call evening service. On Jewel and the 'evening" time is 4-6 pm. When you return from a full day in port, that doesn't work.

Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted March 19, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 19, 2023 (edited) I think that dead horse has been beaten to a pulp by now. Edited March 19, 2023 by Itchy&Scratchy
cruisegirl1 Posted March 19, 2023 #8 Share Posted March 19, 2023 We are experiencing morning service on wonder. It is not a problem, but I have requested extra towels daily so that I have dry towels as needed. m
BennyandBo Posted March 20, 2023 #9 Share Posted March 20, 2023 If you don't like the cut in service. Automatic gratuities can be removed at guests service anytime up until the morning of departure for any reason. Or by calling guest services from your cabin. Coralc Posted March 20, 2023 #10 Share Posted March 20, 2023 The towels have loops on one end, and you can hang them on the hooks on the back of the bathroom door. They dry pretty quickly. I think that even though we had a fresh supply on the towel shelf, we only replaced our towels twice during the week. We don't replace them that much at home. We had a JS, and they are still twice a day service. We sleep in though, and our outstanding room steward would service at about 3 PM. And then peek in later on, and see that see that everything was great, and there was nothing further to do.

It doesn't hurt the decision makers.... and doesn't tell them anything.
CorbinCatFan Posted March 20, 2023 #12 Share Posted March 20, 2023 We were just off the Radiance of the Seas a little over a week ago and they are still doing two services a day. In fact the when we mentioned we wanted only evening service, she was confused. I don't think the reduction in service has made it's way across the entire fleet yet. neverbeenhere Posted March 20, 2023 #13 Share Posted March 20, 2023 We've decided to always book two staterooms, one with morning service and one with evening service.
