kalos Posted March 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2023 I have been informed that one of the pools piping had sprung a leak yesterday and has caused some nasty flooding reportedly on B deck 11 . This has caused some cabins to be out of service. The ship is in Miami and I was asked if anyone on Cruise Critic has any info ?
laslomas Posted March 25, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2023 (edited) I had seen this reported and was also hoping to see updates of the current situation. Is Miami a scheduled port stop, or due to the situation? Edited March 25, 2023 by laslomas

showingdiva Posted March 26, 2023 #5 Share Posted March 26, 2023 Not great for the passengers who have been affected, but as if working on a cruise ship isn't a hard enough shift without having to roll up your trousers and paddle along the carpet.
Cruising Nomads Posted March 26, 2023 #6 Share Posted March 26, 2023 Does that mean A deck 12 is under water
Fionboard Posted March 26, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 26, 2023 On Aurora last week in Force 12, water was pouring in from decks under the doors. Carpets were soaked and people on bar stools were surrounded by water. Mopping up and many towels did the trick!

Harry Peterson Posted March 26, 2023 #9 Share Posted March 26, 2023 On the plus side, I hear it’s being remarketed as a water park. Whole new customer base.

Seemingly there is significant damage to some cabins and their contents. Any idea which cabins have been affected Phil? Is it midship B deck, or has it seeped further than that? molecrochip Posted March 26, 2023 #11 Share Posted March 26, 2023 I would find it odd that B deck is affected. The plant room for the pools is usually directly below the pools - Riviera, Deck A at most. I wonder if its just a general burst pipe.

lebreos Posted March 27, 2023 #13 Share Posted March 27, 2023 At least it wasn't a sewage leak, a whole different smelly problem...
Rare Host Sharon Posted March 28, 2023 #14 Share Posted March 28, 2023 My understanding is that it was a burst pipe and only a few cabins were affected.
kalos Posted March 28, 2023 Author #15 Share Posted March 28, 2023 The latest I have been told is it was a fresh water pipe that burst on deck 11 which affected a few cabins . Nothing to do with pools or grey water .
