Did the casino department confirm that comped casino rebookings would receive the same sailor loot bonus offers?

I'm in the same situation.

Sorry, I didn’t think to ask.  He did say that all perks will convey.  I’m working on the assumption that the $600 of Sailor Loot is included, but we’ll see if and when I get the confirmation.  Our DBEs were also not showing on the original booking.  He made a note to add them.

if this works out they are actually paying us to go on this cruise.  But that’s still an “if”.

Casino department told me Friday that I would receive the $600. I’m on a third-party comp and can only rebook on a sailing through June. Am wondering if the other rules apply (any ship/sail date/length). Might anyone know?

Also, I’ve been told in the past because I am on an offer I won’t get DBE. This canceled sailing was going to be my first Virgin voyage, so I will rebook by Oct. 11.

What do you mean you can only rebook on a sailing through June? Your own scheduling limitations or the Casino Department gave you that timeframe?

It’s the third party’s deal. I am not established with Virgin, not having sailed them before, so I went through another place often mentioned in casino convos. Casino department did confirm June in my case. I didn’t think to ask if I could really pivot to a 14-day sailing - or a 10-day. I was on the 8-day VL sailing on 3/23 from Miami. Not interested in the new itinerary or sailing from San Juan. In essence that’s sort of a repositioning cruise from San Juan to Miami.

They are dropping the ball at VV.

How is processing something earlier than promised dropping the ball?

Inconsistent, yes. Dropping the ball, not so much.

Since Virgin created the problem in the first place, the sooner they can find a fix and make a guest happy, the better.

There's no issue with mentioning URComped.

Glad to hear it.  I’m also on a URComped sailing.  It’s my second one.  The last one I got DBEs and the guy today told me that we’d get it as well.  There was no indication that we couldn’t take full advantage of Virgin’s offer, including the $600.  In fact, URComoed sent me an email telling me to book.  We’ll see what happened, but I fully expect to be on the New Years voyage, which is a URComped Meetup sailing - adding more perks.

I hope it works out.  Should know for sure in a few days.

Looks like there’s a 14-day Singapore to Dubai.

What is supposed to be released Monday? More Caribbean sailings? Other itineraries?

A bunch. New Australia/NZ, Short sailings from Portsmouth to Amsterdam. A few repositioning that look interesting. Barcelona to Athens stopping in Cannes, Sardinia, Sicily, Santorini and Mykonos. I think there is a Portsmouth to Barcelona too. https://www.virginvoyages.com/l/new-2025-cruise-destinations-itineraries#europe

There’s not really much new for the Caribbean itinerary wise except the ability to book the former Brilliant cruises from San Juan that are now on Valiant. There will be a Miami to San Juan on Jan 7 to get Valiant to SJ.

Holiday sailings for 2024 will open up and the 15-16 day repositioning - Athens to Dubai, Dubai to Singapore, Singapore to Australia. (And vica versa - I may have them mixed up in my head)

DBEs? We've done 2 Virgin cruises through them, this current one that was cancelled was from a certificate from Virgin casino department directly earned on our last URComped cruise.

I'm also wondering if we get to keep the Sail with friends referral bonuses. I booked my cruise back when they still have $50 per booking. I accumulated almost $800 in loot but now that the sailing is canceled we won't all be rebooking the same one.

Russiamomm, I got an email, too, suggesting the NYE sailing but can’t swing the dates. Sounds like fun. Enjoy!

Were you told your rebooked sailing had to be no later than June?

Also, I was told the casino department is closed on weekends. Wanted to ask if I’m for sure eligible for any sailing through June. The person at the general number recommended I call casino department Monday.

First time using URComped. First time trying to sail Virgin.

Guess I’m technically not eligible for DBEs since I’ve never sailed before but I thought at one point I qualified or got something through status match.

Virgin is new to me, though I’m not new to cruising.

Sorry, I’m out tonight but will try to answer all the posts directed to me.

DBE is Virgin’s status program.  I originally qualified by a status match from NCL.  I’ve sailed on them twice so now qualify both ways.

My second ailing with them was with URComped. It was great.  We got DBEs on that sailing. I hope the same works this time.

I also got the suggestion for the NYE sailing from URComped, although we had already requested it through Virgin.

I'm not aware of time limitations on our requests.  If that’s the case, no one has told me that.

hope I answered all the questions!  I just hope we get the NYE sailing!

We were told that comped casino sailings don't qualify for status match tier benefits. We were told told on both of our UrComped sailings that this was the case.

The rep I spoke with the other day assured me that everything you qualified for with the initial booking would be moved over to the new booking.

When you boarded you just automatically had the perks? Here’s hoping. 🙂 First I have to pick a new sailing …

I don’t remember for sure,  I sailed with them twice, once paid full fare and once with URComped.  I think DBEs showed up automatically for the paid trip, but I had to go back and forth a bit on the comped trip.  Ultimately the perks were added.  But I may be misremembering.  I went with my husband on both trips.  The first (paid) one I had the status match, but he didn’t.  The comped cruise he had the benefits in his own rights for having sailed with them twice.  Maybe we got them on the comped cruise because of his status?  Who knows.  I’ve yet to figure out Virgin’s loyalty program and how it is applied.  I don’t think they even know.   All I know is I had BBEs on both trips.  We’ll see what happens with this next one.  Assuming we get it.
