Sorry - no contributions to the Slots tonight.. maybe after I do the Gratutues form tomorrow and see how much OBC i have left 🙂

I love the convenience of this form.

In addition to the positions shown, we’ve been able to add specific names and amounts.  Great for OBC use as well as for not having to carry a lot of cash.

Has anyone used the jacuzzis? They were first lukewarm, then they got fixed and today they’re back to lukewarm.

And the pools contains so much chlorine I could sterilize the entire vessel just by walking up and down the hallways.

Sorry  but we have not.  i think the closest we got to a pool is when I was standing on the edge of the jacuzzi on the Retreat Sundeck going through the Panama Canal to get pictures.

Interesting. Never seen this form before.

Fu Dao’s took all my money but that Dragon thingy in the entranceway gave me $670 back. I’m satisfied tonight. Slowly inching my way into the plus zone again after 2022’s losses.

Another Helipad sailaway tomorrow.

Never been there (PV) before. Is it worthwhile looks wise or just another hour in the frying pan for little purpose?

Looks a little like ours — I hope it is not too crowded.

seems impersonal and another chance for accounts to get messed up...we use cash for extra grats and like to hand deliver with a note of thanks..

There is one more time change to the ship's clock to align with LA time.  I was guessing that it would be done tonight after leaving Puerto Vallarta, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Have fun ashore today.

I have fond memories of Puerto Vallarta because it was the first port of call on our very first cruise ever (Carnival, July 1991).  I remember the strange sensation of waking up and seeing that we were in a new, foreign place--like we had been teleported during our sleep.  I vividly recall seeing the mountains and hearing mariachi music being played by musicians on the pier down below. It was my first "we're not in Kansas anymore" moment as I had done virtually no travelling outside the USA up to then.

I have not been back since and look forward to seeing it next year although it may be "just another port" to me 33 years later.

If you have a rather large amount of non-refundable OBC it's actually a very good way to distribute it without having to deal with the casino to cash it out or buy merchandise on board.

With the room steward it's easy and discrete to give some extra tip but I don't like handing out cash at restaurants and other areas all over the ship. I don't need that personal "feel good touch" as long as the individual gets the award assigned.

We are in Puerto Vallarta now and have been for the last 3 weeks and weather has been great . We saw the cruise ship come in and just caught up on this report to see why the late arrival. Sorry your stay is so short.I will be in downtown today for shopping and lunch .

I agree with you.  I found out that with the exception of the sommelier, any tips given to any of the waitstaff in Luminae go into a central pool that all the wait staff share.

This cruise, for the first time, we have had three different waiters and two assistants.  We would feel bad if we did not give something to all give, even if one or two were more prominent.

Still have time to figure out exactly how we are going to do it but want to be fair to everyone,

@DaKahuna would you like a mug for your collection?

They are available in the mall adjacent the ship in case you go out (or I can pick one up for you).

Thank you for the kind offer but we picked up a couple on our own as well as some vanilla extract.  We were at the mall a little before 1000 and Startbucks was about the only thing open, other than a small drug store where we stopped in for a look.

Nice photo.  I see Radiance is docked with you today.

We watched her arrive from the entrance to the Shopping Mall

But I like ours as well.

I said the same to my girlfriend before we left. 😬

In a moment of stupid alcohol bliss, I once told my wife I was going to trade her in on two 20-year olds when she hit 40.  Took me a while to get forgiven for that remark.

Full disclosure, we celebrated our 50th anniversary last year.

Today’s food porn -  we both decided to skip breakfast ..

Went ashore, bought coffee cups and few other things in the mall and came back.

Lunch was at the Pool Grill -  It was a good burger and the fries were good as well.  Not quite the truffle fries from Luminae but not cold and soggy as some I’ve had.

We’ve now eaten at every dining facility on the ship except for the MDR, not going to count the Elite Breakfast, and Le Petit Chef.  We’re going to the MDR for lunch before we reach LA.  We’ll live without having eaten at Le Petit Chef.  It’s just not our think.

I’ve also had at least one drink on every bar on the ship too.
