Thank you for the lovely photos. I worked as Activity Director in an active Retirement Community in the Portland, OR area in 1995- 1997. Virginia Butchart lived there and she was a nice lady. She was originally from our Portland suburb and would tell us about marrying into the Butchart family. It was created from a cement "mine"! Unbelievable. My favorites are the dinner plate dahlias in September.

How I spent my evening. The weather was just stunning as you can see people swimming. I can't think of a better evening than burgers, fries, popcorn and Top Gun Maverick on MUTS while snow covered mountains and volcanos go by. I have really not watched anything on MUTS previously - there has never been anything that interest me. This was great except it wasn't dark. They are repeating it now and it still is not dark.

@Coral, Safe travels home.  What time did you disembark? What is your flight time out of YVR?  If in the afternoon, were you able to check your bags early?  Or, did you have to wait for a bit at the airport to do so?

Work already?  Aren't you closing for end of the semester?

We had several swimming through out the entire cruise. Even on glacier day. I even posted pics of people swimming. I did not swim so can’t comment on the pool temps.

I did get sunburned on my face. People were sunbathing.

I’m not sure if this was asked already but I was wondering how full the ship is? I am on the June 23 and I was counting the empty cabins that are still available and there are about 350 cabins that are still available to book. I was quite surprised.
😎😁

😎😁

Our ship had less than 2400 people. We were told the next sailing has more than 3000 people.

I never heard an exact number- just between 2300 and 2400.

They offered free casino offers on ours. It was pretty empty until the very end.

Thanks so much Coral for your trip report. We sail the same itinerary in mid-July and it's so helpful to see the menus and read about your experiences. We didn't schedule an excursion for Victoria but I think we will check out the gardens after seeing your pics.

Thank you so much for this! We're going on the June 23rd trip and this has given us great ideas!

Do you remember what time everyone was allowed to Disembark? And was there any place in the port to hang out with luggage, or do you think they'll kick us out asap? Our bus doesn't leave until 1130.

Were there many channels on the TV? Sometimes when traveling I get insomnia and like watching TV in the middle of the night.

Also, any chance did you notice if there was a working HDMI port on the TV?  Some places disable them, but it would be nice to plug my laptop into the TV to watch movies if there are crummy channels.

Sorry. I will post the document this weekend. 7:45 or 7:55 was first time people could disembark. Pan pacific will hold baggage, not sure fee.

Just posted schedule. I saw Pan Pacific keeping luggage for people - I assume for a tip.  You may want to call them.

There are plenty of things to watch on tv. Not necessarily live tv but several tv series (older) and movies. Some live tv (news). I did not try the HDMI port. I do know that I tried to stream Hulu on my iPad unsuccessfully.

Our ship was supposed to clear at 9 and it was well past 9:30 when we did finally clear. I heard it was an immigration issue but no clue if that is correct.

I had booked the one excursion through Princess to Butchart Gardens. The weather said 0% chance of rain (at least what I looked at) and we walked off the ship and it was lightly misting. I had already packed my rain coat. The good news is by the time we got to the gardens - the weather was clear and actually beautiful.

There was a parade in DT Victoria. We saw several race cars which I assume were related to the parade on the drive there and coming back, took longer than expected due to road closures. We had a good bus driver. Our tour included 2 hours in the gardens, I wish it was 3 hours. The gardens were sort of crowded due to the holiday. And we were past tulip season. Though there were plenty of flowers in bloom.

I can’t believe the difference in just a couple of weeks in the flowers, and even the entrance. We were lucky enough to see all the tulips and daffodils in full bloom.

Yes - they said we missed the tulips by a week. I have pictures of May 4th of a different year and there were gorgeous tulips.
