luckyinpa Posted May 11, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2023 i read a few different forums and cant remember if it was royal or someone else that will stop you at the ship exit and force you to go to guest services to get cash instead of the OBC being put on your CC. When you say "CC" do you mean credit card, as in placing remnant OBC back on it? You'd rather have cash, because if they place it back onto your credit card, there is a certain percentage service fee, so you wouldn't want it back on the credit card! Rare twangster Posted May 11, 2023 #8 Share Posted May 11, 2023 Refundable OBC is automatically applied to your CC assuming you have one on file. No fees applied in my experience. Non-refundable OBC is lost if you don't spend it or cash it out one way or another.

Never had a fee for a refund...which is what this is. You may lose out on any points or reward miles but that would be all.

Download the OBC to the slot machine, hit cash out (you don't have to play) then take it to the cashier window to get your cash.

I'm not sure when they might have done this, but, I have had OBC refunded many times in the past decade and I have never been charged a fee. It's just like any other refund.

I’m clueless. do you know how much were allowed to take out at a time? It's not that easy. You sign in with your birthday. I think month and day. I put in month and year and it locked me out and I had to get help. To even start in some machines you put your card in the slot, allure, liberty grandeur ... did oasis and it took me a while. You wave the card at the slot not put the card in. It's a chipped card on oasis. I'm a novice, hardly better than what you say a virgin. You get $6 promotional which is $8 if within first 24 hours. I use this up first. Click on promotional and transfer. This cant be cashes out. Only winnings. Lol I tried because I wanted to change machine and got a slip cents on the dollar. ..I just was confused how to change machines. Transfer from your room is easy ..it just puts a charge against your cabin, like buying a drink or whatever. I see biker says $500 limit. We don't know how to use the machines in the casino either, but if you go to the Casino desk, they can give you a step by step instruction card of how to use your promotion $$, which also sets up your account. Once set up, transfer your OBC from your card to the machine, then cash out, and take the ticket to the cashier in the casino

Financially there's no diff, just a bit less convenient to have to cash in the OBC first. Actually, if you have a reward credit card, you would be ahead by putting the deposit on that and getting cash for the OBC. I see where you're going -- but I will probably spend less than my OBC, so it would be nice not to have to fiddle around with writing a check and being refunded OBC. A matter of money in one pocket vs. the other pocket. 2 hours ago, steveru621 said: There is no service fee. You're asking about fees if they refund a portion of OBC to your credit card? No, no fees. I know for sure because I have left the ship having spent less than my OBC, and I've seen the refunded money hit my credit card ... took a couple days /less than a week. All very fair.
