Transportation from Tampa to Ft Lauderdale

Can anyone tell me the best way to get from Tampa to Ft Lauderdale?  I am trying to get from a friends whom I will be visiting to Ft Lauderdale to board my cruise…..any help is appreciated…..do cruise lines have such a thing?

The cruise lines have transportation between the airport and the nearest cruise terminal, but the only way to get from Tampa to Ft. Lauderdale is by car or plane. I think Spirit might fly that route. If it were me, I would just rent a car for the one-way trip and drive. You can drop the rental off at the closest location to the port and get their shuttle (if they offer one) or an Uber to the port.

Agree...OP if you're a Costco member check out pricing on their website for your rental.

The "best" way? Private helicopter. Second best, limo with champagne in the back.

Looks like it's doable if they can sit on a bus for a while.

Cruise Connection bus is not "the best" , but its a solution if they don't want to drive.

I am always hesitant to answer “what is best” questions because we do not know the available budget.

 

Assuming you do not want to drop a fortune, then Amtrak is a comfortable consideration. Unfortunately the options can be a bit confusing and too long to type here so so suggest to read this article:

Have you asked in your Roll Call?  Chances are someone on your ship is driving from the Tampa area and could take you for a donation.

If you can find a good price fly ....check out Southwest and Silver Airways. Other choice like mentioned is rent a car and drive...it's about a 4hr drive from Tampa to FLL.
