Recommended Posts

Getting ready to book Eclipse 8 nights in September 2024 from Bayonne. Usually cruise Concierge Class with Celebrity. Considering Aqua class for the Blu restaurant. My DH is a picky eater. Does anyone have some menus he can look at just to get an ideal of selections?

Blu Breakfast Menu

All breakfast items are available every morning at breakfast.

Breakfast hours can vary by ship and whether you are in port, but generally breakfast in Blu runs for 90 minutes between 7:30am to 9:00am or from 8:00am to 9:30am.

No reservations are required or accepted to dine at Blu for AquaClass guests.

Blu menu is somewhat edgy so be prepared for that.  We like it but if you are a "selective" eater you may be uncomfortable.  There is the everyday chicken, steak or salmon selection.  You also may be able to order off the MDR menus but I wouldn't alway count on that

We’d go into Blu at the drop of a hat, needless to say it’s well worth cruising Aqua class just for the restaurant.

The fitness things in the cabin, spa access, blah, blah, blah are secondary IMHO.

We got our requested table every night and could eat whatever we wanted and if we didn’t like the menu we could have anything else.

Seriously, it’s on a par with any specialty restaurant and better than the menu in Luminae which we found challenging at times.

Blu has great choices, fresh  made cooking,and they are very willing to customize.  Lower salt..nicer choices for us.  Very nice bread...and pre dinner treats each night. Breakfast is great but no waffles.

 

Not pretentious or ultra fancy food. We def prefer it over Luminae where we were stymied quite a bit,  or the mass market mdr.

 

 BLU offers great service,  I think OP husb will enjoy!

 

only neg is they made not have Prime Rib night dinner...we check out mdr for that!

Uh, no. I’m one of the few Live From posters that does not post pictures of menus, drinks or food on my threads, to include the one I currently am posting to. But if someone is interested in looking at the Blu menus on our current Eclipse cruise, that’s easy to do. Just pull up the May 9 Eclipse cruise from Honolulu to Vancouver on your Celebrity app and look for the Blu menus under the Dining section. 😁

The one thing frustrating to me about both Blu and Luminae is that they don’t designate gluten free items like they do in the MDR. The last thing I want to do after eating a full meal and being stuffed is deciding what I will eat the next night 🤷🏻‍♀️
