Cooking Classes in Costa Maya?

Anyone with recent experience attending a cooking class in Costa Maya?   Preferably a non cruise ship excursion.  We will be arriving in Costa Maya on a Monday at 1 p.m. on Carnival Valor.

I have done one in Cozumel but not Costa Maya.

 

I have looked at them and there are several. I think @island lady recommended one to me that she had done several times.

We have done Karlita's Kitchen 3-4 times.  First couple of times at their old upstairs apartment.  Not sure they are doing it any longer.  Karlita and Otto have been spending a lot of time in the winter in NY, taking care of a friend's apartment and birds.  We last saw them in November just before they left.  It was only the two of us at the class and was like spending the afternoon with good friends (which they are).

I believe Lachilangaloense runs a Salsa and Salsa class but it's just how to make guac.  They hjave offered a VIP and Cooking class in the past.

Thank you so much for this.  I had come across the Viator listing and wasn't sure about it, since I was unfamiliar with booking any excursions through that site.

You can book it through the ship also.
