We are staying at the Hampton near the airport and Sunday going back to airport to catch RCI shuttle.

Hoping all goes well with this mode of transportation.

And as for amount of luggage. Well. Not really. We will be gone 10 days.
Shoes , clothes, bathing suites , shower caddy, pharmaceuticals 😳

(prescription and OTC). Beach bag, travel documents. ……

The travel dicuments... now it all makes sense.😊😇

STORY TIME.

For the Bella cruise as with any cruise I buy a new purse                                     ( mom bag, carryon) to put pass ports and boarding passes. Not travel documents.

Those go in a suitcase. ( for the Doctor, not mentioning any names).

Well I loved this purse so much it will be a repeat performance for the Allure.

IMG_1064.thumb.jpeg.95012bafaa9eb10e1e7bcfabc61374be.jpeg

However after that March  cruise I used the purse when we went to a Knights  of Columbus event at which time they presented us with a small gift. Which I forgot about till now.
Now mind you. Could you have seen me going through TSA with these 2 bottles of liquid. I think there under 3 ounces.

HOLY WATER

IMG_1065.thumb.jpeg.60a1d1e52895c7bae89c58c1b1f0fce6.jpeg

Which reminds me  last month when our DD and SIL flew to their conference DD carryon lit up something on X-ray screening. Here her breast pumps caught their attention.
TSA  ( male ) was more embarrassed than her. The inspection ended quickly.

Sea ya.

The plot thickens. We left a wake-up call for 3am ( I usually snooze once. Well ok. Twice).
So when we went looking for the phone we only found a cord.

IMG_1056.thumb.jpeg.e9d42a881ba1aa18aefe24d2f2d4e6de.jpeg

So gooder spouse walks down to desk. Um no phone cannot call. And the girl laughs as she said she will notify maintenance.

So no wake-up call for now.

I will let you know if I need someone for my wakeup call.

Sea you

What kind of hotel is this?

A tradition of taking pictures of suitcases just  in case lost by airlines on a non stop flight. Air tags safely tucked in.

Pretty purple.

Sea ya.

I love the purple! Very pretty and I bet they are easy to find amidst a "sea of luggage".

7 days out of Galveston.

Sunday to Sunday.

Hearing when she heads back to Florida 3/4 split week cruises.

I wish Allure was doing 7 day cruises when she comes back home to us, but we’ll take what we can get. We booked a B2B 3/4 day. The 3 day goes to Nassau so we’ll get to see what was a nothing but a construction zone on our last visit there and Coco Cay where I’ll go and find some fishies 🐡🐠🐟🦈 to swim with. Our 4 day leg goes to Cozumel, so 2 sea days to enjoy and way more fishies 🐙🐡🦑🐠🦈🐟 to swim with! We’d love to sail Wonder one of these day - when either the prices go down or I get over the sticker shock of paying nearly double the price for the shiny newer ship! Our day for Wonder will come but for now we’ll happily enjoy all that Lady Allure has to offer. 😎

Well, they might get lost by the airline, but it’s highly unlikely that someone will mistake them for their luggage!

I am an ACD peep and I so love when everything matches...love that color.

HISTORY LESSON.

So when we booked this cruise over a year ago, the date of what would become our air flight was the day my aunt ( my moms sisters) military plane she was on crashed, and no survivors.

IMG_1072.thumb.jpeg.2986f89c80c09024519ed015cb6a6195.jpeg

Today is the 60 th anniversary of that misfortune.
I was apprehensive about flying.

Yes. Today I said many a rosary.
When we landed I finally could share the plane crash with my husband.

I am sure she was looking down upon us for a safe flight.

Aunt Elaine (Vodhanel) continued prayers for you.

Safe travels.

We rode the shuttle 7 minutes to the Hampton. Upon arrival the room requested was not ready. We said ok.
Then as we were going to offer to pay for a room for the day the manager goes. I will give you one of our suites, no extra fee. And enjoy your stay.

So, a little unpacking

A little ironing ( gotta look pretty for the picture of ship with us in front of ) which by the way we never get.
Nap time.
Exploring time.
Got to get the rest of my steps in.

Oh. Their breakfast buffet was still available so I got fruit for the room.

See you were lucky again. A free suite and early check in and free breakfast. I'd say your luck seems to be running. Let's hope it stays onto the ship. The houston airports are not the safest areas, so I prefer Galveston but makes sense to stay there and rest. Enjoy your day.

I was able to watch the news for about 90 min. (😜) During this time I kept hearing the same noise over and over again as in every 42 seconds.

Here the Hampton is underneath the runway for the airport take offs.

Glad I brought my ear plugs.

Getting ready for dinner and turned TV on and you will never guess what movie is on.
Nothing but the most reassuring before you cruise.

Yup. Titanic.

My first cruise was my honeymoon in 1998.  A few months before, I was watching Titanic in the theater with my mother.  At the end, she says to me - "are you sure you want to go on a cruise?"  My response - "I think the odds of hitting an Iceberg in the Caribbean are pretty small, so I'm good".

So after dinner we walked and enjoyed the evening. Not too hot or humid.
So I said let’s check out the pool.

Well. If you plan on swimming to cool off, just know it’s not going to happen at the Hampton. The pool is in a drought. Only a puddle of water.
