Took my first cruise in 2017, took my 9th cruise last month.

Six of those cruises were comp cruises from playing an online gaming app, the three I paid for were on Carnival.

Have never had an ice cream cone, have only had pizza once, have only had breakfast at the buffet. Have never played putt putt.

Have taken an excursion at every port I have been too. Have done the rope course. Have gone to a LOT of comedy shows. Only spend less than an hour a night in the casino yet have gotten a few incredible offers in the past. Then offers disappeared for the last year or so and right after my first NCL cruise last month they started coming in again. Even though I haven't been on a Carnival ship since 2/22🤔

Fun topic for remembering.

Started on the Pride in 2009 with aft balcony as recommended by our "Cruises Excusivly" agent.  Always do balconies now.  We like the smaller ships, Freedom, Glory, Legend, Spirit.  Returning to aft balcony on a bigger ship, Carnival Panorama next year. We'll see.

We always do a steakhouse night.  Never dress-up for formal night. At least two soft serve cones per day usually with smallest amount of chocolate frozen yogurt cuz I like the cone part the best! Guys Burgers is my go-to.  Two cheese burger/bacon patties, no bun and potato sticks, no fries. Always have Melting Chocolate Cake with orange sherbet (give the vanilla to my wife).

Wash my own quik-dri clothes by wearing them into the gym shower and rolling them dry in a towel. I splurge on the Bottomless Bubbles package and make out like a bandit cuz I have a (soda) drinking problem. Tried all the sports/slide venues putt-putt, corn hole, basketball, chess, Green Thunder, even ping pong!  Looking forward to air cycles and ropes course on the Panorama. Have one ship-on-a-stick and won the Casino Fire Raffle and Hot Seat. In a group slot-pull we won the $10,000 Jackpot. Are regulars at the non-smoking Roulette Table and can go through 4 or 5 croupiers while still breaking even.  Our strategy is to "lose slowly" and sometimes we win. My wife plays and I'm the banker.

We take the dance classes and I'm not bad (for a man) as they say. Been on two Journeys cruises and my wife has been selected each time for the 50's style Dancing with the Stars Show and been the best dancer. The audience goes wild.  I am NOT making this up!

Our first Carnival cruise was in 1995, skipped 30 years from cruising, now try to go at least twice per year.

When looking at our history, more random than predictable.

-Been on 22 cruises with 136 days at sea.

-Traveled through two tropical systems. (Actually, quite fun for me)

-21/22 have left from Florida. One cruise left from Puerto Rico.

-Have flown to port twice, driven 20 times.

-10/22 cruises have been on fantasy class ships. Paradise most frequent at 6 cruises on her.

-Standout cruise, Cuba. Just because.

-Favorite port, Curacao'

-Never been on water slide.

-Been in every style of cabin, but only one suite.

-Have been offered upgrades 8 times, only accepted twice.

-Love the salad bar and French dressing at the salad bar.

-One "behind the scenes" tour and on the bridge twice.

-Never witnessed a fight.

-Saw one POD of dolphins in Gulf of Mexico. (hundreds)

-One helicopter (grand Turk), One submarine (Aruba), One Americas' cup sailboat (Cozumel)

-Most frequent port- Cozumel

-We don't interact often with CD and usually only see them at debarkation waving goodby.

On the radar, ABC in August, Panama Canal January, and Alaska in May.

Really enjoy the crew on all of the ships. They are the difference for us.

I always cruise with the same four people (Me, my mother, and my two daughters).

We only cruise to cooler weather destinations (Canada, Alaska, Norway)

Because we only cruise to cool weather destinations, I've never been in the pools or waterslides.

We love to go to the comedy show and then the MDR for desert only.

I don't get the obsession with Guy's Burgers.

36 Carnival cruises on 20 different ships ( 7 of which are no longer in service).

Every single cruise starts with a Funship, without exception!

At least one soft serve cone gets consumed every day.

We play blackjack on every cruise.  Won the tournament once and DW and I each finished 2nd place once.  Sure wish they'd bring the tournaments back.

Sailed on one of the very last cruises prior to Covid hitting, and one of the very first one's after the restart.  Cruising with a mask on SUCKED!!

Spirit Class is our favorite.

Love the water slides, but don't partake every cruise.

Have ridden BOLT twice! Super fun, but a very short ride.

Almost always eat dinner in the MDR or specialty restaurant.  Had Lido buffet for dinner just a handful of times. (Too tired or too drunk to get dressed for the MDR 🤣)

I have been on 6 Carnival Cruises without ever having been on a standard Carnival cruise. All 6 were charters.

Like a cruise with special bands onboard?  Or a company retreat?  I've never been on a cruiseship charter. Was the whole ship booked for the charter or just part of it?  😃

Cruises with a band 😁

Fun!!  A friend of ours did a charter on MSC with like 20 bands playing over the week cruise.  He even got to do a "session" with some of the members of a band.  Very exciting!

I've been on 4 Cruises.

I've only cruised out of Long Beach, so far.

I consume 1.25 ice cream cones per day.

The husband consumes 3 ice cream cones per day.

We gave up dressing up for formal nights. Jeans and nice shirts are our jam.

If the Splendor was still in Long Beach, we'd likely have more cruises under our belts.

We sailed a short cruise on the Radiance once, will likely do neither in the future.

We have gone to Seaday brunch exactly once.

We have done both balconies and interiors.

As much as I liked a balcony, there were serious issues with the neighbors. Not sure it was worth the extra money.

We are currently planning our first cruise not from Long Beach.

The whole ship, yes. I can’t imagine the poor people if they just showed up for their relaxing vacation and half the ship were New Kids fans there with the band 🤣😳

I have heard of a group that charters out part of the ship for their members and then take over areas aggressively. I agree, it would defeat the purpose of a relaxing vacation. Now if I could duet with Donnie Wahlberg we might sign up for that🤣

Thanks for sharing.  NKOTB Cruise veteran, eh?  😁 I'm sure you have a lot of stories you could tell.

I've done 4 music charters so far - NONE on Carnival.  Two were on Royal, and I haven't done a "normal" cruise with them yet.  Perhaps it's just as well? 🙃

Hi @Honolulu Blue🙂

If you Google: (MSC Music Cruises 20 Bands) and/or switch words around & try different various searches; a lot of information comes up for future & previous music sailings.

What a fun topic!  My unusual cruise stats:

  • My first cruise I won a cruise at bingo and have been hooked since.
  • I don't think I have ever made it past 1045pm on any cruise ever.  I am a morning person.
  • I love to play in the casino around 530am.  Almost no one else there, smoke isn't bad, and I can get on whatever machine I want.

This is a great topic!  Here are some of my stats though I'm not sure how unique they are ...

* By next summer, I will have cruised twice on three of Carnival's ships (Miracle, Radiance, Legend).

* I've been on nine cruises ... the first in 2002, one in 2014, one in 2016, one in 2018, and the rest within the past two years.

* I've never won any contests or challenges on a cruise; however, my daughter won a Carnival Radiance trophy on her first cruise for winning bingo at Camp Ocean.

* My husband won a jackpot on Buffalo slots the first night of one of our cruises early on in our marriage.  We got hats and other swag.  It was a good night!

Back in the day, on Conquest they had a seafood spot upstairs from the buffet which served fried oysters at lunch at no extra charge.

No stat available, totally lost count of how many eaten over the 7 days.

Never tried the Guys's burger, looking forward to one or two.

I cruised in 1994.  Then didn't cruise again until 2007.  Then, I didn't cruise again until 2017...and I have been on at least one cruise every year since then including 2020--got in right before the shut down.

Been on Vista 3 times

Breeze 3 times

Pride twice
