How and why are topics pinned?

Recommended Posts

I have noticed on the Viking River roll call forum there are over 40 pinned topics (pin symbol), many of them regarding 2022 cruises with no new comments in months. These populate the first page and a half of topics.

How do these topics get the pin symbol and how long will they remain at the top of the topics list? It makes it difficult for newcomers to find the current cruise posts. Is there a way to change my sort to eliminate or suppress 2022 specific topics?

Try using the report function (an option from the 3 dots at the top right) of the first post in the thread to ask that it be unpinned. In addition, it wouldn’t hurt to state why.
